Good morning everyone - am feeling lovely and positive this morning. Possibly something to do with the weather, but also because the headache (migraine) thats been bugging me for the best part of 3 days doesn't feel quite so bad today - perhaps it's going!!

Busy busy day - garden to sort out, boot full of stuff to go to the skip, a freecycler coming round to pick up a dresser, children to take swimming, dogs to walk, dinner to cook and next week to think about and meal plan for. I get a treat today as when the boys go swimming I just about have time for a latte in the leisure centre coffee shop before its time to get them dry.

Having to move house in the summer (which really focuses the mind about what we need to keep) so am going to see new schools on Wednesday - want to be MSE so will cook something to take with us so we don't have to stop in the service stations on the way up.

Right well, the children won't think about dressing themselves! Lots of hugs to everyone who needs them - and lots of positive vibes too. If I can fool myself into feeling positive then maybe I can fool others too!!!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Almost forgot to share my moment of shame with you!

As we were heading out of the leisure centre yesterday I was listening to DH who was slightly in front of me as DD had wandered off towards a sweet machine so without actually looking I called her and put my hand out to the right for her to hold.....only I didn't see one of the other men from the class who walked right into my hand.

Only thing was he was quite tall and my hand had ended up at the sort of height that meant I kind of grabbed a handful of him  I was so embarrassed

DH was laughing and said 'What you like...hitting John' ....I said 'I think it was actually 'little John' I hit':o:rotfl:

Ooooh JC you'll get a reputation if you carry on with that sort of behaviour in public :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you for the birthday wishes Diva! I'm having a low key day. I went to see Shutter Island last night with a friend. It was a fab film, creepy but very watchable. Today I'm off to parents for lunch with them and my nan (who is back from hols in Oz) and then going for a curry with friends tonight. I had 2 lovely bunches of flowers delivered yesterday :D, one from my friend in Canada, and the other from the bloke I had been dating before he got shipped off to Afghanistan with the Army for 6 months (halfway through now) :happyhear

Nothing Os for me today! Yesterday I cleaned kitchen, washed up and hoovered. I am planning on dyeing my hair today to make need to clean bathroom after :rotfl:

    Have a good Sunday all

    Morning All,

Just about to put in a call to DS in Australia. Miss him loads and loads. He is off to Bali on Monday for a weeks break with his GF so they are all very excited.

I watched Shutter Island last night as well, very creepy. Not my usual rom com but very good.

Busy day today helping OH get his presentation ready for Friday, then this afternoon may make a boiled fruitcake. Sure I saw a recipe on here last week.

Otherwise just general Sunday tyding and getting uniform ready for tomorrow.

Still damp here so no drying outside, its hard work drying inside but will not put the dryer on.

Have a good day peeps x

    Good Morning All,

    Hapy Birthday flutterby!

Gorgoeus gorgeous day up here! Makes me feel all sunny on the inside too!
Had a busy-ish day yesterday, caught up on some housework, got all my garden stuff done, ordered some more bulbs and a lovely lilac tree for outside the front door. I had a lovely Cordyline in it last year, but it finally succumbed to the cold and died on me. OH insisted I buy a standard with nice flowers and smell as it would be much more welcoming, so I gave in. It's actually quite beautiful, and will look lovely there, and I got some free plants too which are a type of lilac, so I'll plant them up around the gas meter box to hide it!

I also did some baking, double choc muffins and flapjack, I used the same recipe I always do at the same temp but the muffins weren't quite right, and the flapjack is overcooked and more like a crunchy cereal bar, so I think I'll need to get the engineer out to have a look, need to remember to book myself an appointment when I am at work tomorrow.

Not much planned today, the boys both need school trousers, so will pop to Mr T for theirs, they both have big bums, and that's the best fit I've found for them (they are both skinny minxes too, don't know how that happened!)

I also need to bake some muffins for OH to take to work tomorrow. He is working for his friend at the moment, and his two brothers, and apparently the three of them aren't getting on, so I'm hoping some baking will sweeten the atmosphere.:rotfl:

Ooh I am a gab today. Welcome to all the newbies and returners, hugs for the sicklies and worried (although it seems as though there are less worried than there has been for a while, isn't that a nice thought?)
Extra hugs and good wishes and hope for Big Frank, Tris and Nic' DFmum.

Hope your days are all filled with smiles!

Morning all..............((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) of you need one.

A quickie this morning OH wants to go to the Sunday Market at East Fortune, it used to be a good market, it remains to be seen what its like now.

We woke up to sun, but it has clouded over, it was quite cold last night, the bedroom window had some mist on it this morning, so window open.

Last night, for the first time sonce we moved in we did not light the wood burner, the central heating kept the house warm enough.

Roast pork for supper, a few weeks ago I bought a large rolled shoulder joint which I cut in half and froze, so one of the joints being cooked, will then use the slicer and slice up the cold pork for freezing in meal size portions. Loaf made yesterday, so bread and cheese for lunch.

    May be back later................

    Morning all
Washings on the line, WM is on again, we had bacon sarnies for breakfast, yummy.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday, sat & did crochet whilst watching Harry Potter & then Dragonheart. Today's plans include roast turkey & vacuuming the stairs, I'll have to go for a lie down if life gets any more exciting.
    Have a good day everyone.
