Why can't you just plug your old box back into your TV to watch the recordings you have?
The man who installed new box said that I wouldn't be able to as the viewing card would be paired with the new box, however hubby plugged the old one in last night and everything worked as it should!:j:j:j0 -
I had no joy with the offer at all, they said they'd tried to contact me but seeing that I was in all day that day and nobody rang I think it was another lie. Interestingly my daughter had a call from them this lunchtime and after a lot of rambling about movies and sport etc they eventually got to the subject of HD.
The offer was for a free box and half price installation (£30) and she would have to pay the £10 a month sub, I spoke to them on the phone and asked why certain customers were getting the totally free offer and he told me that they couldn't offer that, so she declined the offer they made as her sky+ box is good and as she doesn't have a HD set she won't be missing out, looks like the free offer has gone, waiting for HD on freeview myself after hearing that a lot of people are having problems with the sound dropping on HD boxes and the EPG freezing0 -

What next ? Sky will have us create mysterious passwords or develop funny walks to get us one of the "secret" offers.
God knows why they can't just be transparentNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Not really interested in HD yet and waiting patiently for the arrival of Freeview in our area later this year, then will see if I can ge a hard drive freeview recorder to compete with Sky+.
I got a call out of the blue from Sky two months ago offering me three months half price, I thought there must be a catch if Sky were offering something for nothing, I told them I was not interested in movies, hd or multiroom. Still got three months half price.
Sky + is great, would pay for that itself, and pay for sports for the footy, without that would not be subsribing to Sky.0 -
I got offered this, as someone called me in March and I wasn't able to talk so they said they'd call back and didn't. I haven't managed to get anywhere with Sky at all on this - is there any hope or should I just give up?
If Sky Complaints can't help, is there anyone else you can escalate to at all...

bit of a dumb question,if u get free subs for a year...what happens after the year ends?,can you just not have the hd?,or do u have to pay the subs no matter what?0

you keep the box BUT not have HD quality. I think the problem occurs with anytimetv which seems to have the bulk of offerings in HD,
I am quite looking forward to aircrash investigation in HD.0
