Painting or not, you are always welcome to stay here.....:) But I do have plenty of decorating to do, so I could always put you to work :cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I've got so much that needs doing to this house, really, to make it into the place I would be happy staying in. It still feels like a "stopgap", which of course it is!
But some things need doing - I've mentioned the windows before and they are definitely a priority that needs saving up for. The windows will make it nicer for us while we live here too, and will be an investment, because anyone buying this with the existing windows will def knock far more off the price than it would cost to do.
And it still looks "tired" - rather like its owner! But a bucket of polyfilla, and some fresh paint will make all the difference there.
And of course, if every room were tidy, and spacious, we would all get the benefit all the time - and that means the decluttering has to continue for some time yet!
I sooooo relate to this post. I have been in this place for 4 years and all I have done to it is the bare minimum to keep it standing! I really wanted to make my mark on it but couldn't afford to do it without getting more into debt.
I too have to get the windows done (lovely sash windows that are going to be very expensive to replace), followed by the kitchen and bathroom. Although part of me wonders if I should bother if OH and I are going to upgrade to a house next year.
I would love to be getting on with stuff on the flat to get it tidy and declutted but there are so many other things to do for the wedding. I have had appointments every day so far - so much for a relaxing break!
Tomorrow I am getting up early to do a few chores to help me keep on top of things before going to spend some time with Dad to get a few things done.
Great work on all the matched betting. I am going to look into learning aobut it after the wedding.
