Like both the houses but we need at least 5 bedrooms could do with more so no good for us what a shame so tempted to make an offer :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Don't think they would be so tempted to take it though :o:o:o:o

Meanwhile builder has just rung to say he is bringing the plumber on Monday so may find out how much all our building work is going to cost and then see if we can manage it fingers crossed it does need doing

Happy birthday to Miss Hypno

So Hypno - it's been four weeks or so since I posted. So much has changed - before the wedding your debt was£11k and now it's under £10k; you have new windows (je suis tres jealous!); your weight loss continues (well mostly!). I can't remember half of the other achievements.

I love how you are always pushing forward - even when things feel tough - or perhaps especially so.

I hope you enjoy DD's b'day - you've worked really hard for it.

Morning - thank you for the birthday wishes for DD.

We had a lovely day - I finished work at lunchtime, met DD for a coffee in Caffe Nero (personal spends envelope), then had a bit of a mooch around the shops, (window shopping envelope, funnily enough always empty!), then went to eat (tesco clubcard vouchers) before heading to the races. DD had bought some picnic bits (grocery envelope) so no need to spend lots on food when we got there.

I had already allocated £25 to the "Newmarket envelope" because we needed money to bet, plus race card, and any additional drinks.

We were only betting £1 each way, so not exactly big money, but a win on the first race, and a couple of places later in the evening, meant that even after buying a coffee for me and a hot choc for DD because it was chilly, my envelope came home with £20.40 in - so a very cheap night!

The concert was excellent - Far far better than I expected. People may poo-poo the X factor and similar things, but I have to say that the talent that was on the stage last night was well worth paying to hear, and we got it, essentially, for free so even better!

Didn't get home, though, until 1.30am so very tired this morning, but DD had a fab time, and I can think of worse ways to spend a Friday evening!

Hope you all have a good day - I will be mooching about a bit, going on the treadmill to offset the picnic last night, and drinking plenty of coffee.....

How lovely, Hypno, thats great to hear.

And you're actually using your treadmill? I confess, I have a cross trainer sitting in my 2nd bedroom, I've had it for years, and I paid £250 for it - it takes up so much space, and the new house has quite a bit less storage area - if I haven't used it by now, I'm not very likely to start :o Any opinions, anyone? A vote?

Just totted up and I ate a massive 40 points yesterday :eek::eek:

so, yes, my treadmill will be on overtime until WI on Wednesday, especially as I have another meal out this evening to a non-WW friendly place

As for the crosstrainer, KC, if you are not using it, have no space for it, and it would get you some money in if you sold it.....well, it is a no-brainer!!! If you were nearer, I would buy it from you because DD loves them, but methinks you should get it on ebay this weekend!!

Yes it was lovely - was a bit chilly for the racing, but by the time everyone packed in for the concert it was just about right, so no complaints there.

It is certainly something we will do again :D

Oops! Still, its not every day your daughter turns 16 ....

Oh wow. I wasn't thinking of ebay. I'm sure its safe and all that, even *I* feel safe when I use it, but it does racket around a bit, its not smooth like the ones in a gym. I was actually thinking of freecycle .... but then, I'm a bit of a pessimist about my stuff..... you really think ebay is a possibility?

As long as you are honest about its condition, and what it is you are selling, then ebay should be fine! Put it "for collection only" and even if you only get a few quid, it is money in the coffers.

If it doesn't sell then freecyclers will prob beat a path to your door.

I have had porridge for breakfast, will have the same at lunch, and have had a look at the points for Nando's which is where DD has chosen to go this evening......

......and will do an hour's brisk walking on the treadmill starting at 10am, then another hour this afternoon, perhaps upping it to a run (or may go out for a run if the rain stops).....with a view to damage limitation!
