If you ever need a "keep on keeping on", feel good movie, I'd recommend Sea Biscuit. It's based on a true story about a racehorse and the owner, rider and trainer overcoming pretty much everything.

Back to the Margot conversation: although maxi length kaftans haven't returned to the shops, the current crop of maxi dresses are very Margot. That's the problem with reaching a certain age, fashions tend to be "been there, done that, knackered me ankles first time around...":D

Have an excellent weekend, all! I may not be around much, I'm at a therapies fair on Sunday to drum up business...

Oooh Se - you have got good taste - you've posted some lovely properties. Nice budget too ;)

Houses are not my thing this week, after we had our second offer rejected yesterday :( I was thinking about it whilst driving and shed another tear! Such an emotional business.

I'm sure you're far more level headed though - good luck with it all, hope you get fixed up soon.

I wish that was our budget!!!

I think househunting is a mixture of head & heart, some houses 'tick the boxes', but you know you couldn't stand living there. So I think you have to be a bit emotional when househunting.

Admittedly in the past we've moved a lot, so we try not to get too attached to a house until we've exchanged contracts. I think it's when making the offer etc., and negotiating the finances when you have to let the 'head' rule.

Hope your luck improves with the househunting.
