We opted out of a race at the snowdome at Milton Keynes......I couldn't bear to be in a huge fridge on such a gorgeous day - definitely the right decision made there!!

Gah, I woke in the night with a burning throat - and despite taking something for it, it has not subsided. It feels really rough and very very sore. I've not got a cold or anything, just a very sore throat.....not a good start to the week....:(

Oh well, I will nip into Boots when I get to work and get something for it and hope it either doesn't develop into anything more, or that it gets on with it and develops into whatever it is going to develop into so that I can get it over and done with.

Scratching and banking next - hope you all have a good week :)

What a lovely weekend! :T We were away working, out in the heat but didn't get too frazzled.

I have noticed so many of the longer standing members all getting to the point of relaxing more about the debt and focusing on life. I wish I was at that point but its nice to "know" people who have as it is an incentive to keep going.

Hope your throat gets better, plenty of water today perhaps?

Got to the office to find the fire alarm going off, so we have only just got to our desks.....not a great start to the week!

And the decorating has been started in the office over the weekend - in particular the glossing of woodwork, so the fumes are yukky.....bah to Monday mornings!!

Pippa, yes, you are right, I think a lot of us who have been hacking away at our debt are starting to ease off a bit - for lots of reasons, either changes in circumstances like mine, or health scares like taxi, or just that acknowledgement that we are perhaps over the worst of it and can start getting a bit more of a balance.

It is a bit like weight loss - the closer we get to goal weight, the more we have to start thinking about maintaining a healthy diet without feeling we are on a diet all the time. The early days of calorie/points/syn counting every single morsel are gone but we are very aware that we don't want to take our eyes off the ball too much otherwise we will be back to square one (again!).

Talking of which, I bought a classic shift dress in a sale about 3 years ago, which *almost* fitted, but which I thought I could slim into.....needless to say, it has remained hanging in my wardrobe unworn since the day I bought it, because instead of slimming into it, I just put on more and more weight.

Today, it is getting its first outing, and has already gained me some complimentary comments from colleagues, so I am very pleased :T

We've been away for that glorious weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it too Hypno and another vote here in approval if you decide to let the loan take its course and cut yourself some slack. (Especially as you'd have that penalty for early repayment!)

    Another scorcher here in London.
