    Thanks guys - I did worry a little that it wouldn't be enough to repay Mum, but am very glad that it was, and I made an instant payment to her first thing so it is all done and dusted :D

    My aim is that any bonus I get next year will not have to go on debt repayment of any sort. To do that, I need to clear £1000 a month on average which is an awful lot.....so will require a significant amount of effort, but which will leave me debt free except the mortgage and will make my SOA much nicer to work with.

    So......my remaining debt is:

    Barclayloan (approx 2 years to run if it takes full course) - £6951.83
    0% card - £2807.97
    secured loan element of my mortgage - £2537.91

    Total = £12297.71

    Congratulations on the amended signature Hypno - and that you have used some of it to make your own environment a happier place to be.

    Haven't posted much recently - things happening with mums estate etc etc and I'm getting wound up about things - so i've just been lurking.

    DS is home for a few days between final exams and then is off to Oklahoma - manages to miss our silver wedding party by a day because of flights etc !!!!

    Am going with him and DH tonight to see Dads Army at Chelmsford !! should be interesting.

    Have splurged recently on tickets - Lion King next week, then Scissor Sisters in June (on DD b'd) and Jack Johnson the following week. That will be it then ! Money has to be repaid from somewhere.

    Well its supposed to be a lovely weekend so DS and I are car booting on Sunday - what doesn;t sell goes straight to a charity shop

    Have a good one

    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Fantabulous news on the bonus Hypno! Does this mean you have nearly done the "pay of £20k" challenge?

    Not even half way there, sadly.......still, there is half the year left to go, so I will be making a decent attempt at it, but have no chance of the full £20k this year.
