Em, isn't this the wrong way round? Can't we send cats & get gold back :cool:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

My neck is a lot freer in movement today - yes it still hurts but then so does the rest of me.....especially my hand. So at the moment it is all comparable.
When the other aches and bruises heal, if either the hand or the neck is still significantly painful, then I will get it looked at, but I do just think it is a matter of time and being sensible (ie not going skiing tomorrow!).

Apologies for the bossiness last night. Glad things are easing - have a good day0

Amazon money and virgin scratch payout both mean that I have paid £13 to the "pot" this morning.
Roll on payday though - the housekeeping account is all but bare - enough for bus fares but that's about it! Hopefully I can do better next month, but I am pleased that I am not over budgets so far, even if it is rather tight. I can do this!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Hypno, pleased to hear that aches and pains are improving, sorry to hear it's not quicker though.
Scratchies done.
Yesterday spent time googling looking at 9 & 10 day weather forecasts for wind speed and direction, for UK, France and Swiss airspace, and the latest geological updates from the volcano, combined with the travel info on BBC. As a result got organised yesterday with a contingency plan for getting home, got train tickets, so if the sky's don't clear we can still get back. Even if they do clear, it's going to take a while for flight schedules to get back to normal.
Most except for Eurostar is refundable (would have doubled the cost if we'd had refundable Eurostar). Tickets were only available from Monday onwards next week!!! So couldn't leave it until nearer the time, as we could have had to wait a week to get back via train, also prices would have been higher the longer we left it.
It works out at only the cost for a couple of nights in hotels in Switzerland, it's so expensive here, so it was the cheapest 'insurance policy' to get us home. It does seem up in the air as to what airlines and insurance policies will cover, also OH is on business here and I'm not, so not sure what help if any the company would have provided as he's fairly new to the company.
Sorry for waffling on your thread
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Morning - glad you are feeling a bit better today Hypno - just take care.
Lovely sunny day here today again which always makes the day feel better.
Am off to work shortly - yeh ! - DS is back at Uni for his last 6 weeks - can't believe where the time has gone - had to order all the stuff for his graduation ceremony - unbelievable prices !
Anyhow - have washing to hang out and breakfast to have so am off again.
have a good day everyone0 -

Ditto that Hypno, have spent far too much at the beginning of the month and there's now very little left. Must try harder for May!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
I'm glad all is well, if a bit threadbare in the purse. The figures are all heading in the right direction, tho, and you're still having a life, all three of you, so thats good too.
SE - sorry you've been caught up in the volcanic ash saga. From the sound of what's happened this morning, with Scottish airspace about to be closed again, I think you're probably very wise to do the whole rail thing - the TGV goes to Switzerland now, doesn't it? So its pretty quick to get to Paris, at least. And hopefully if you're all booked ahead, you won't have any trauma at the Channel.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry I haven't been around, feel a bit out of the loop!
Hope all the skiing injuries heal up soon enough, not nice being in all that pain!
Beautiful day hereI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
