Glad to hear that the neck is easing, did you have a bag of frozen peas draped round it to help bring the bruising out, or are you an arnica ointment sorta girl? I remember the smell of tincture of arnica from when I was a child, always doused in it to bring out bruising:D

Meanwhile, can I suggest this acronym to everybody in case of further injuries: RICE which stands for rest, ice, compress, elevate. A bag of cheap frozen peas is great for some bits of the body as it "drapes" over knees, ankles, necks, shoulders.... kinda like a wheat bag if you separate the peas!

  • Hey Hypno,
    Sorry you're bruised and battered.

As you say, keep your eyes on the neck injury. *sorry, no need to teach you suck eggs*

The neck is certainly much better than it was this time yesterday,.......so fingers crossed for continued improvement.

Shortbird - I have been taking plenty of arnica. I don't like the cold so although I had an icepack immediately after the fall, I really find it yuk!! Give me heat any day!

se - well done on thinking ahead and making alternative plans!

oh, and at lunchtime I found myself in a hair salon making an appointment for a cut and colour at the weekend  Not my usual turn up and pay £10 and take pot luck place, but a proper place that is going to be so expensive they didn't even have the prices on display and I am booked in with the top guy :eek::eek:

Ah well, I booked it for the day after payday......and it is all part of my "12 step recovery programme".......not that I have such a programme officially, but I must be doing something similar :rotfl:

I love the 12 step programme - as you know I am on a similar strategy not sure how many steps it has though

Glad to hear that the aches are a bit better and that the budget was doable - well done

Have put two qualifying bets on and a freebie already, for about £3.50 profit - not much, but free money. Trying to get ready for an in-play freebie but my internet has decided to go on a go-slow so just how successful it will be this evening is anyone's guess!
