Problems with redeeming Thorntons Melts vouchers

Hi i went to the horsham branch today as i won 3 boxes. The lady took the vouchers out to the back then came back with another lady who took the phone and went to the back again. i asked what was going on as i felt like a fraud. The lady said i have never seen these before and you cant have won 3 times with 1 competition. I said i have in the end she said i will give you 1 box. I told her to ring head office but she wouldnt and she said my manager isnt in till tuesday. i had all winning emails and vouchers with me. I felt very low and they made me feel really rubbish just becasue i won on a competiton. Head office is going to get a strong letter. I had to travel to go to town and i am not going to go there just to be told you will not have anymore you have already had your 1 box. I am vey disgussted and upset.

Does anyone have a number and email i could try thank you

Doesn`t it make you angry! they get our information in good faith when we enter a competition, they use that info for marketing purposes and that`s fine if they treat us ok. When they don`t it is simply wrong.

I went into the Peterborough shop today with DD. I had 3 vouchers for wins and DD had 1 win plus the Free sample voucher. Had no problems at all. Very nice lady checked vouchers, checked ID and passed over all chocs.

We won twice and both times we were given the free sample box. When I questioned them and asked for the big box she refused to give them to me saying that they were for the sample boxes only :(:( In fact she was quite rude. I left feeling quite upset. I wish I had never won the comp now.

My daughter and I won one apiece - didn't realise you could win more than one. Took them into Sc*nthorpe - assistant got out the sample ones, but when we pointed out they were for the large boxes she called someone else out - after studying the vouchers for a few minutes, they gave us the large boxes.

I'm really looking forward to going to thorntons tomorrow now
I just had a big order delivered from their direct shop - some good bargains there lol but if I get hassle redeeming my prize vouchers I won't be shopping again with them no matter how nice they are!

i will be redeeming my 2 vouchers tomorow morning will let everyone know how i get on personally i think everyone should get wat is stated on the voucher without question hope everyone gets there prizes.

Claimed my sample box and one large box on Wednesday no problem.
No problems claiming my boxes today, even though I had 6 vouchers for the big boxes.
Entered the store and said to the staff that I had won from their Facebook competition also mentioned that each voucher had a different competition number at the bottom.
Both of the staff congratulated me and handed over all 6 large boxes without asking for ID.
Sorry to hear about anyone having problems claiming theirs.

I took my voucher for a win to the store in the Trafford Centre and the sales assistant who served me was like 'Oh we havent had one of these yet, well I havent had one' and proceeded to get a sample box from behind the till. I was like 'Oh are these for winning the competition or the free sample because I know you can get a free sample but I won the draw' so she looked at the voucher and read it and was 'hmmm.... Oh 200g! Im so sorry!' and went and got a full size box from the shelf then wasnt sure how to put it through so just gave it me with a big smile and a congratulations. So it does state 200g on the voucher so manke sure you point this out if having problems. I think fo rmy sales assistant it was just a simple mistake as I think the vouchers must look similar? And even if they dont she hadnt served someone with one before so obviously wasnt sure what they were meant to look like. She was also very smiley and friendly and apologetic so I didnt mind her making a little mistake.

For those of you taking more than one voucher just point out its different competitions as someone else has said. I dont see why staff are so against giving away more than one box. Some people just cant stand people getting something for nothing do they! I dont think what the competition involved has been communicated to staff very well. If you cant win more than one then you wouldnt have been able to enter after winning!!!
