Welcome back
Can't beleive how organised you are already with the washing, mind you agree the sunny weather helps!
Glad to hear you had a great time, i'm trying to persuade OH to do an adhoc camping trip tomorrow to Sunday - we don't live too far from some nice camping spots so would be fab, we shall see.
Like your idea of walking with girly friend. Sadly I moved away from home town so most of my girly mates are 45min drive away, don't get down often.
Anyhow, hope you have a nice evening - look forward to some more posts0 -
Glad you had a nice holiday
Well done on the decluttering already & good luck with the continued healthiness - it is definitely easier now the weather's improving@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? What lovely weather this weekend. I spent most of yesterday pottering in and out of the garden and reading my book in the sunshine and it was brill.
I did drag DS out to do the weekly shop, which we managed to keep under £70 despite him slipping a CD into the trolly. This wasn't too bad as I knew we'd have to stock up on meat etc again as I'd let things run down before the hols. Nothing else was spent though.
Didn't declutter very much (apart from a big sort out of the dining room table and kitchen worktops). But I did get all of the holiday washing ironed and back in the wardrobes, plus all of the bedding and towels have been done now too.
I've written a job list for DH and DS for when I'm back at work next week - should be amusing to see if they complete any of it! I thought a gentle prompt might help spring them into action.
Today I'm planning a nice quiet day. DH has offered to cook a roast lunch and I'm about to raid the internet to see where we can escape to for the afternoon. At least if we are out and about somewhere we can politely miss any 'family visitors'.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Another NSD today. A nice quiet day in Pen Towers. DS didn't want to do much so we just pottered about again.
Thinking about doing a OU course now, just one of the basic ones to get back into learning again. I'll have to mull over it for a few days I think as its a fair bit to spend and then decide I don't like it. I really want to do something more in the care industry/social wise but its a big step for me and I'm quite cautious about this sort of thing. I'm the sort of person who spends over 10 years in a job and still enjoys it. It will be a completely different path. I have until May to decide for the next course, so we'll see.
Apart from that, nothing really to report. Back to work tomorrow so I'd better get the alarm clock set. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Morning pen.
Welcome back and glad you had a nice holiday. I'm back at work today too, if I can stop drinking tea and actually get myself there!
Have a good day.

Interesting, i've looked at doing one of the basis ones, like you say just to get back into learning. I also would love to go into the care/social industy and have often looked at it but could not consider leaving well paid job (office based) until I have cleared a lot more debt! Rubbish
Your weekend sounds lovely, I can't wait to have a back garden so I can do as like and relax reading - love reading, just don't do it enough! That said, we are on the doorstep of the South Downs so don't have far to go if I do want to get outside...laziness in some respects!0 -
Hi Polly and Choc-addict,
I am still mulling over the courses but I think I am going for one. I'm not in a position to swap jobs over yet, I really need to sort DH out with a steady income before I risk anything. I can't decide over the understanding children or the healthcare one. Oh decisions, decisions.
I was really looking forward to going back to work today (no seriously, I've a nice job and boss). My good mood lasted until dinner time when we had a big meeting and people were just being mean and stupid. Honestly I felt like banging my head against the wall - it was the seniors not the juniors which makes it ten times worse! At least I was so busy at work I didn't spend anything and took my homemade sandwiches in like a good girl!
So it was lovely to come home again, the sun shone all the way back and DH cooked a mexican meal which was scrummy. Now just enjoying a glass of white while DH entertains BIL for me. (Don't think I'll bother with any de-cluttering tonight, although I have written up my latest work reports, so not too bad.)
Heres to a good week, all :beer:This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
I've decided I'm going to do the health course - have just booked it before I change my mind again.
Right, better get back to work the boss is about. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

Excellent - keep us updated on how you go! Don't think i'll be able to do one this year but am considering it next......very jealous0 -
I'm feeling very motivated now I've booked the course (and I'm already working out what I can save to pay for it - I think a £2 tin is called for!)
Another quiet day at Pen Towers. Both DH and DS have been feeling poorly today so not a lot has been done. Luckily they are both much better this evening and for once we had a really cheap tea of cereal each as that was what everyone fancied.
Work was much better and everyone was trying to be nice to make up for yesterday so I will milk it as long as it lasts
No de-cluttering at home but I did tidy up the desk at work. If you could see the state of my office though you wouldn't believe it. It looks like I work in a store cupboard.
Anyway off to bed soon as I'm sooo tired today. Working again tomorrow cos I'm saving up lieu days to help with the summer holidaysThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0
