Pen's phase 2 -the long debt slog and de-clutter

Hello,
Just thought i'd pop by and read through your diary after you kindly posted on mine
I'm loving your tales of de-cluttering, it's amazing how it can make you feel isn't it! I've had a bit of a sprucing evening, couple of washloads, hoover etc....I know how to live the high life eh?? Perhaps I will be after the lottery draw :rotfl:
I like you thoughts on dealing with cash only, i'm planning ond doing the same after this weekend and to be honest a little scared - i'm so used to just switching everything
Have subscribed so look forward to some more updates! Have a good evening x0 -

Hi Choc-addict, decluttering really helps with the money thing - can't explain why. DS can't wait for his Easter Eggs tomorrow morning, this chocolate thing is catching our house. Have a good weekendThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Another no spend day and not a very exciting one either. DS is out with the grandparents so have been ferrying them around and DH is out with his mates. But its nice to have some time to myself to get everything sorted for the hols.
Got up into the roof to get some bags to pack and have been busying washing and ironing. Luckily its been a lovely sunny and windy day here so everthing is ironed and put away. Just thinking I really ought to sort the car boot out before they boys try and stuff all their holiday gear into it tomorrow. Then its off to pick up DS again and hopefully a nice family evening in home.
Was good to have some half decent TV last night that all ages could watch so hopefully will be the same tonight. I love it when we are all sat around chatting etc.
Money wise we should be ok. I've been stashing easy cook food back ready to take and have pre-paid for the kids activity passes. Fingers crossed, all we should need is a bit for evenings and a couple of meals out. I've even remembered to fill the car up with petrol before we go as its normally a bit cheaper around here.
Lets hope the weather helps out and stays drier for us. I feel all holiday like now - I wonder if we've any buckets and spades up in the shed! This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Hi Pen
Just wanted to report that I decluttered a basket of magazines & guess what I found?Maybe I'll find my nail buffer that went into hiding around Valentines Day

Cheers Polly, just trying to cram everything into the car now. We're off shortly. DS is so excited I don't think i can make him wait any longer. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Got back from the hols this morning - it was lovely, the caravan was nice and big and clean and the site really friendly. Even the weather decided to sort itself out. We had a really good time. DS wants to know when we can go back (amazingly we managed to keep two young teenagers happy!) :j
It is so warm and sunny here this afternoon I've managed to get all of the washing dried already. I feel much more motivated when the sun is out so decluttered some of the spare room as well, and now have a box (of rubbish) for DS to decide if he is going to re-home or bin.
Didn't spend as much as expected so I've paid a bit more off the debt too
I start my walking again next week, normally do about 3 miles twice a week with a mate. To be honest its as much about a good girly chat as the fitness, but it does help keep my weight down. We're a bit rural out here and given that we both work its not so easy to do in winter time. So my next mini challenge is a bit of self improvement, get the walking going again, cut right back on the wine and smoking and try and get the veg intake up. Once I'm walking I tend to find it easier to sort the rest of it out. My dream aim is to give up the smoking once and for all - I felt really nasty slipping out for a quiet smoke on holiday. I must of looked awful.
Anyway, its a lovely sunny Friday evening here, DS is out with a mate and DH is cooking tea. Looking forward to a nice family night in (or out in the garden for a while now that its warmer). :beer:This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0
