How can I get the Royal mail to stop delivering junk mail, leaflets ect, they go from the letterbox to the waste bin. I suspect I am not alone and this is just a repeat of a previous post

Although not via the postman,we must get 8+ different Pizza leaflets each week through the door, and over the last 2 weeks we must have had 10 different 'bags for clothes' of course non of them are charities just companys who claim to donate £10,000 per year from sales0

well what have you done so far?
royal mail have an opt out on their own site
RM deliver 3 unaddressed items per week maximum
so how many items do you get a week?
as for mail that is addressed to your property,RM are legally obliged to deliver them0 -

'If you wish to opt out of receiving Door to Door mail items, please send or email your name and address to the address below:
Freepost RRBT-ZBXB-TTTS
Royal Mail Door to Door Opt Outs
Kingsmead House
Oxpens Road

We will then send an opt-out form to your address, which you must sign and return. We do this for security reasons - to verify that those resident at the address have requested the ‘opt out’.
Once you’ve returned this form, Royal Mail will stop delivering unaddressed items to your address within 6 weeks. '0 -
I used to work for a local free paper; we used to get a lot of requests from people wanting to have the paper but not the leaflets inside. You’ll most likely still get takeaway leaflets if you opt out also, as they quite often take them out themselves.0

Hardly an on-line system ! I took the reply by Custardy to mean there was an automatic opt-out via the website.0 -
RM dont want to you opting out, they also want/have to ensure that those opting out are the ones who live at the address in question0
