What, because I don't believe that 50% of public service funds should be allocated to chancers who have bad or tragic experiences that immediately phone 'no win no fee' scammers because they think theyve won the lottery. I despair that our country has come to this.0 -
How can you be 'wronged' by the NHS. It's a free at the point of use service that you are under no obligation to use. If you don't like it go elsewhere. It would suit me just fine if the NHS was disbanded and everybody had to pay their way then these people would have something to actually complain about.
Anyway to be honest I suspect this is probably a wind up so I'm not going to worry about it too much.
how can you be wronged by the NHS???
by them killing your baby? are you for real?

free? we pay for it. with our NI contributions.

50%? You are winding us up!
So if you were damaged, injured or in some way harmed thanks to poor treatment by NHS staff you would just sit back and accept it? Because after all, it was free and you could have gone to Bupa. (if you're lucky enough to be able to afford it that is, those transplants and open heart surgeries etc can be quite pricey!)0 -
urgh.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't compensation supposed to be to correct a situation that should not have occured? If this is the case, in the NHS, money is often not the way to do this, particularly in a situation such as here. By all means persue the individuals at fault for what happened, but how the hell does taking more resources away from the NHS make things better? I can't believe I even have to ask.0 -

A claim has to be made within 2 or 3 years (unless the claimant is a child) but can take years to be resolved. Unless you actually work in this field please stop making sweeping statements like 'people end up suing the NHS because they don't get their complaints answered' - as we all know there are two sides to every story but the people who investigate and reply to complaints really do care and work damn hard in a stressful environment.
I knew it was ridiculous and wanted to hear from someone who knew what they were talking about.
There is one thing this guy is worried about and that's money, pure and simple.
I feel better now I've said my piece.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

There is no connection between NI conts and being able to get NHS treatment. Anyone who is a UK resident can get NHS treatment.0 -
The O.P seems to live in a compensation culture. Just look at his previous posts where he wants compensation from his bank for taking their time doing something or other.0

Quote from earlier post from OP
'1st Time Buyer Maybe Buying Apartment In Cyprus Help Please
I've seen a property I like the look of abroad to spend time and rent out when I'm not there : -
http://www.cyprusprop.com/advanced-search/p_id/10178/
Is the property I'm interested in, I make around £16,000 per year however am a first time buyer so don't think the mortgage would be a problem.
Anyone else bought a property like the one above?'
Good grief - the baby is lost in March and by mid August, the OP was planning buying a place in Cyprus and having a lovely time learning Greek?
That's roughly twenty weeks later - around the baby's original due date.
No wonder she kicked you into touch. It wasn't because she had such a horrible thing happen to her, it was because you shrugged it off and started making plans for having fun when she was dealing with the worst things that can happen to a woman.
Words just don't do my opinion justice.

What an extraordinarily judgemental thread this is. Have I stumbled across the Daily Mail website by accident?0
