Well done Baby steps, it's been a difficult year for you but you've come out on top - well done, I hope you're proud of yourself :T

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Hi all,

Hope you are all well and not getting to annoyed with the snow. I'm sat here watching the apprentice final and catching up with the finaces. It has been an expensive week with all the xmas partying, but I knew it would be so thats fine and was budgeted for.

So the final position for the year is................. (drum roll please)

    Mortgage – 162,150.68
    CC (0%) – Oct 856.62, Nov 2215.01, Dec 2964.59
    Savings – Oct 901.51, Nov 1730.10, Dec 2975.84
Net amount owed – Oct 162,105.79, Nov 162,635.59, Dec 162,139.43
    Month change – Oct -44.89, Nov +529.80, Dec -496.16:D
    Overall change – Oct – 44.89, Nov +484.91, Dec -11.25:D

Yay, after the horrible year I have no debts, I have actually managed to finish £11.25 better off by the end of the year.:T:T

So bring on 2011 full of new challenges and getting even more money into savings to compensate for the mortgage being interest only.

Next challenge, set some 2011 targets.

  • Well done Babysteps how fab to know you have finished the year in credit especially after such a tough year - you should be very proud!! ;)
  • :j:jI've finished work until the 4th of Jan:j:jI am now very excited about Christmas.

I'm still doing really well with money. The budget so far for this month is on target and to be honest I can't see me spending to much between now and New Years eve except for on food. So I am hoping that as long as I behave in the January sales I will see the first real dip in the net amount I owe the world (I'm aiming for about £500).

    So a great big

    to all.

Also thank you for everyone for putting up and reading my random thoughts for the last 9 months or so. I honestly dread to think what my money situation would have been if it hadn't been for this diary and all of your support keeping me on the straight and narrow. I really think if i hadn't had to write down what I have spent with all the changes I have been through the last year I think my spending would have got totally out of control but as it is i've managed to settle back into the house, get through a break up and not ended up hitting the credit card:D

So i'm all ready to hit 2011 and the mortgage hard.
