Ditto here Babysteps :) Although I think I may just give everyone a bottle of homemade wine, jam and a cinema ticket this year!

Glad you had a good mini break :)

  • Right well thats it i've given up. Spent all morning trying to get some tickets to take that. I've had no luck and now feel very fed up!!

I can never understand how these tickets sites crash EVERY time there are tickets on sale for a big concert. It just annoys me so much:mad:

But hey on the plus side will have saved myself about £150, so its not all bad I suppose. Though i would have loved to see Take That with robbie. Oh well maybe they will release more dates some point in the future,:p

I am looking forward to a nice quite weekend, however i just have this felling that won't happen:rotfl::rotfl:

  • Morning all,

Well the plan for the weekend started well with a quite night in last night in on Friday.

However got tempted out for a few "quite" drinks last night (was planning to get the last bus home), however a few drinks later and well lets just say had an expensive night and taxi journey:eek::eek: On the plus side it was halloween and had lots of fun:rotfl::rotfl:

I've got some good news though, moving back to the house next week. I am so excited I can't wait. It will be weird being there without OH, but will be nice to get my own space and independence back.

However that means its likely to be an expensive month as I will have to buy a few things for the house, like a new TV which is a bit of a shame as was finally getting myself sorted out financially but hey at least this time I have the savings for it even if it will put a dent in the amount I'm saving!! This is partly my own fault as I do believe that if I invest ina decent one it will be the kind of thing I can keep for years rather than buying a cheaper one that will need replacing in a couple of years.

I think I might potter out and go and do some xmas shopping, Just got the £5 debenhams voucher on this weeks voucher codes offer so going to have a look to see what that can contribute to.:T:T

Well on the plus side managed to get some good deals today, Got a Tshirt for my cousin from debenhams, used the £5 off voucher plus £4 left on a gift card that I got from toluna. I also got a really nice fajita warmer set for my aunt and uncle which I know they will really like. I now have 3 xmas presents so far.

I have also doen some shopping around for TV's. i think i have decided on this one

    http://www.johnlewis.com/230929759/Product.aspx

Its slightly cheaper on amazon, but you can't get cashback on quidco. So i'm thinking of going with John Lewis as they have a 5 year garauntee and I know if there are any issues their customer service is amazing.

Its actually a bit cheaper than I was planning on paying and has freeview HD built in which i'm quite excited by:D Oh well will make a final decision soon.

  • TV purchased and will be arriving friday!! Also purchased a few other bits today, I bought some new sheets in Mr T's only to find them much cheaper in Mr A's. So I returned the first ones and kept the second!!

My other bargain for today was the TV stand they seem to be about £80 in the shops for a black glass one but I got one for £50 on ebay:T:T

So an expensive day, but it was all needed to feel settled in the house and for me to feel like I can start moving on with my life.

Oh well I promise this diary will stop documenting spending soon:rotfl::rotfl:

I did do every survey I was sent today to make sure I tried to make back at least some of the cash:D

Glad you enjoyed your mini-break, I think the spending was well justified. We all need to remember as MFW's to 'live a little!'

The TV looks fab and with the 5 year guarantee not a bad deal at all. Hope you enjoy being back at home, hopefully it will feel like 'yours' in no time at all.
