I am more a visual person than reading unless the book is really good. I used to read all the time but with MFWs taking over my life any spare time I have is used by reading and rating reviews on dooyoo and entering comps lol

    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Well its almost pay day and time to start another month so the final summary is:

    - Sunday and Monday were NSD's taking my total to the month 9, better than my target of 8 so thats one good thing.:j

    - The net amount owed has decreased from 162,150.68 to £162,081.50 . Not much a reduction, but this is my first month not in debt so a good a start as any!!

Targets for the next month are to:
    - decrease the net amount owed by £500 (at least!!).
    - Have 10 NSD's this month.
    - Get back in my house!

As we can see, this is going to be a marathon not a sprint so guess I just need to keep going at it all.

I think I will set a target to get the net amount I owe the world down below £160,000 by the end of this year, that will be stretching things. But you never know it might just happen if I try really hard:D

  • Well a rather expensive start to the month, it was a friends brithday last weekend which led to a rather expensive few days and a lot of partying so lots of fun was had.

Then I have had a mini break with the family the last few days, the holiday was only £50 but by the time you add on petrol to get down there and spending money I spent about £150 over the few days:mad: To be honest though it was what I needed and whats the point of working if you don't get the break. Had a lovely few days and the weaather was pretty nice which was good, feeling very relaxed now I am back.

So I have revisited the finances and don't reckon I will be able to save as much as I was thinking I could this month.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the last bit of sunshine we seem to be having:D

  • Hey Babysteps
partying and hols sound fun! sometimes I think we can be focused on OPing/saving that we lose sight of real life in the middle of it- you are right, we need these things to relax us from working and replenish us for going back to work! :rotfl: so dont beat yourself up for it (notes to self to take this advice! ;) ) I find as long as I feel I am getting a good-ish deal for what I am doing it makes me feel ok ! :)
