[QUOTE=atrixblue.-MFR-.;30992237) i also change the indicator bulbs (if the indicator are clear lenses one not yellow or have yellow caps around the bulbs) with the RING RW3581 BA7 enigma bulbs, they give a really nice look in the headlamps!

also thos who have the bmw mini with the lexus clear rear lenses change thos horrid yellow bulbs that you can see with the enigma ones and see how it transforms the whole look of them!!! and the front indicators!!![/QUOTE]

ive done this to my transit front and rear, i fitted the silver indicator bulbs, due to my transit being silver it matches nicely. i just need to convince the work that philips xtreme bulbs are the ideal replacement when my original headlight bulbs go.

Philips too in both vehicles, must be well over two years now with both not a problem and big improvement over standard.

the philips xtreme have well outlasted the nightbreakers. i can't remember the last time i changed them, ive still got a brand new set sitting waiting for the next change.

MSE thinking...put the old ones back in this car when you sell it and slip the still working xtreme's in the next motor..:p

If you're lucky Lidl might have some of the +50% Tesla pairs for £3.99 left. Just fitted some not expecting much, but the light is noticeably whiter and brighter. Time will tell how long they last though. I used Philips xtreme power in the last car and they were good and never failed, if they fitted the newer car I'd still be using them.

On indicator bulbs I'm a fan of the Halfords silver indicator bulbs, they're osram diadems in Halfords packaging as far as i can tell. £7 each I think and slightly cheaper on trade card.

Some vehicles have such bright lights now that it's becoming a safety issue....for other drivers who have to close their eyes to avoid being blinded.

Highlighting the importance of functioning self-levelling systems for factory xenons, and proper alignment of standard halogens. Many people are happy to use after-market xenons in Halogen projector units which tends to result in light spread everywhere, and burning of eyes when going over speedbumps etc due to lack of self-levelling system. Use of fogs in non-foggy conditions is more widespread though.

try xenon automatic which gives super vision at night and consumes less power which improves the battery life of the vehicle

Reviving an ancient thread, but Osram has since released Night Breaker Plus bulbs, supposedly the plus means they last 50% longer. I just bought some off ebay but there is still a logo on the box suggesting they will last about half the time a standard bulb would. Somewhat disappointing, but can't fault the honesty. Since I want to put them in the main beam this shouldn't matter too much though I imagine.

Oh and to update the Lidl Tesla +50% bulbs (in my dipped beam) are still going strong. Not sure if those are the same bulbs in their current bulb kit that's on offer though.
