My DMP thread is mainly about my father's and joint incomes, and this thread is about mine so I realised I could do a little update on mum's...

She's just had potentially good news... her position is being made redundant at work. Have just looked up on-line about redundancy and turns out she'll get 15 weeks pay. So she has the option of getting a decent job in the first month or doing a minimum wage job part-time and going back to study.

Need to look into whether her PPI (as we never did get them to cancel it) will pay out in which case, her redundancy will stretch for approx 8 months + a part-time job of approx 20 hours.

Plus, on the cc front she now has only £1037 to clear :D :T

I'm so proud of her :D

My aim was 20% by the end of April but I've just updated my totals and I'm only £2.03 off that now

So I'm now going for 25%, may even push it to £30 :j

    For 25% then it's £152.03, for 30% - £302.03

So I've decided I'm quitting my job, as soon as the cards as clear, I can get something else I'm sure without the stress and zero respect I get now.

Need to save enough for my bills, £65 approx a month, for at least two months - anything else can wait

So are you looking for a new job right now - or do you want a small break from working?

I'm not really sure, probably have a break and start over in September time.

If I work my months notice then that'll be mid May then I have exams until the end of June, then I'm going into hospital at some point in July and then need six weeks off recovering.

So I don't think it would be fair to a new employer

Also, forgot to add in my thoughts yesterday - my mum finally has a new job :j :j (subject to references ;))

More money AND less hours :D :T

Things on the work front are still up in the air - have spoken to the line manager and one girl has handed in her notice so hopefully they'll realise we are all very unhappy.

The thing is, I need to have 16 hours a week average (on my current wage) secured to ensure that I get SSP over the summer because I can't afford to not have any money for eight weeks and getting IB can be difficult.

This needs to be for fourteen weeks before the op so from about now, so if they don't give me those hours then I need another job with those hours pretty quickly.

Benefits make my head spin sometimes

Okay, so I'm still talking to myself :rotfl:

£564.62 by the middle of June - HSBC. I'm NOT paying interest

Got £277.50 to chuck at it as soon as it clears and the normal payment of £11... so that leaves £276.12 to find.

Only problem is I have zero time, between work and my exams. Hmm... any ideas?

    Thanks SF :)

Very, they are so spread out this time too, first on the 14th May, last on the 25th June  How spread out are yours?

Nope, not that I have to hand without a massive turnout
