Do you compliment your husband in that manner? No wonder he feels so worthless. :rotfl:

Probably, yes. Especially if he hays something to say that the OP doesn't agree with. No wonder the poor guy is a bumbling fidgeting wreck. His self esteem is more than likely in the gutter, and with a OH with an attitude like this, what chance has the chap got???

Oh my you are really making me laugh! Thank you so much. Inmypocketnotheirs - you are very funny. How you can make judgements based on a few short paragraphs is quite astounding. Please tell me you don't work in mental health?!!

Practical advice: Go back to work full time, ask your mortgage provider for a payment holiday, make sure you're getting all the benefits you're entitled to, work hard on spending less on all bills.
Why: because your OH has consistently been told since he started his job to pull his socks up and improve and it isn't happening making the likelihood of him being let go highly possible.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Errata thanks- will look at mortgage holiday. We are already pretty stringent with bills etc. As I have mentioned before I can't go back to work full-time as I have signed off for part time hours and my remaining hours have now been allocated.
    thanks

I think what Errata and I meant was look for a new job full time rather than stay part time at that one or get another part time job

Thanks but my job is very specialist and there are no jobs out there. Also, I love my job and have worked hard to get where I am, so no way I would be willing to give that up. (read into that what you will...)

You may enjoy it but if its not bringing enough money in and you OP is likely to lose his job you have to be practical and look at the alternatives....such as finding another part time job or getting another full time job.

Or maybe starting your own business from home, probably not that helpful now as it can take a few months to get any decent amount of money coming in but you would have to start at some point
    Always ask ACAS
