  • lynsayjane - thanks for that. Lovely image!

I'd be tempted to say buy an ordinary pair, cover in latex glue and dip them in red glitter. Coat in varnish and add red satin ribbons.

    Voila!

I wish I could say I believe you. But, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm in the same mess I was in during the summer.

I really don't know which way to turn at the moment.

No, I know, it doesn't feel like it and it sounds horrible... I didn't mean to make light of your situation :)

I really hope things do look up soon and you can be back to your positive self again!

I'd say things always look better in the morning... but they might not... and then I'd be in trouble! :naughty:;)

minnie darling, i don't know all the problems you've been having recently but i can totally relate to your 'i;m in the same mess i was...' thing. in march i came out of a year long relationship. although i knew it was for the best it was a hard time, despite the smiles everyone else saw. and yes, like you, i felt like i'd achieved nothing in the previous two years. again i was alone, left with mounting debt and in a miserable job that barely paid the mortgage. but thankfully this time i found a wonderful place, this one, i made some great friends, like you!, and i'm making my world better. in twelve months time i plan to be debt free, i plan to be taking (or shortly back from) my first 'holiday' in since i was 16 (at this point it will have been ten years), my flat will be fiished and in my mind the world will be as close to perfect as it can get. all you need is that little break, and it will come.

for me it was letting the tv run on after a program, trevor mcdonald came on, boring!, but there was martin and i clicked on his sight et viola here i am now. i know it seems hard, and i know it probably seems as if it'll never get easier, but when your least expecting it it will happen.

You're right, of course. I'm just sick of spiteful nasty people. The last job was chock-full of them (apart from the one person) and I can't escape them even now!

Tell me it's going to get better!

Hey lovely Minnster! Kath & Lyns (scuse abbrvs) are of course right....it never feels like it when you're feeling pooey, but it WILL brighten up!!!

This may not be any consolation, but I always think of some of the people I met on my travels in Asia (in me youth....am old bat now) .....no roof over their head, no job, empty stomach's day after day, ill-health a plenty..........and then I tell myself off for daring to complain about my lot in life and move along. Hey, it works for me!

Your break will come....it just may take a little longer than you want it too, but in the meantime you have people looking for glittery red shoes for newborns to keep you amused (loved that idea Lyns).

    xx

Hey Hugs here for you Minnie. Pick a direction, any direction....it's gotta be better than how you are feeling now eh? ;)

I can toooooooootally relate to what you said about being in the same mess as in the Summer. I have been feeling peeved of late because I feel like I am in the same position as I was last Autumn when I had my light bulb moment. I know if I wrote it all down (maybe I should...) I would see how I have progressed however right now I feel like I haven't moved forward more than about a foot.

I think you both should. I think there's a tendency to underplay success, and to take the setbacks to heart.

So come on, the pair of you. Show them!

    Hello!

I haven't posted here for a while because I've been working on getting things better.

The good news is - I've got a really nice job. I wanted to be sure I liked it before I told you all about it, but I've been there for a couple of weeks now and it is really nice. Lovely colleagues (not a sniff of bullying), interesting work (:T) and although the money isn't great, at least it's paid weekly. I'll never be hungry again! (Thanks to Scarlett O'Hara for that last quote.)

College is going well - two "excellents" for recent homework (high five!).

There may even be a sniff of romance coming my way. But my lips are currently sealed! ;)

But, as the song says, its getting better everyday now.

    Hope all are well!

That's great news Minnie!! I've been wondering how things were on the work front but didn't want to ask in case it wasn't good news! :o

So glad things are looking up in lots of ways..... especially the romance, even if you won't tell us any more!! ;)

Are you still doing any of the 'Do Something Different' things? I'm starting afresh tomorrow (let it lapse big time) and am really looking forward to it actually!
