I'm back. Cajoled into it by a certain Mr ZTD (who PMed me - thank you m'dear).

So, why the music? It's from Groundhog Day which is where it feels I'm currently living. Looking back over the thread it looks as though I haven't moved much.

Job - I've just jacked it in. I had very good reason. Back to the :eek: situation again - sh*t! now what? Nothing doing so far so fingers crossed, my fellow DFWers, that I get work SOON.

Vincent is on meaning that the Ray obsession is set to rear its ugly head again.

More 'puter problems too. I almost give in.

And - yes folks! - the washing machine caused me grief again tonight! However, I'm more savvy now and know that too much powder (oops!) maketh the washing machine fuse the box and turneth off the electrics. Relax though, kids. Have fixed it without the services of a plumber.

So the summer's over (huzzah!) but I'm still in dire straights. Flip and b*gger.

Anyone out there handy with a magic wand? Or just a virtual hug?

Hope things get better work wise and you find something you really enjoy... I am sure that something will turn up so stay positive!!

Hand on heart, I'm not too worried about work yet. Something is in the pipeline and I hope it's only part-time. Ooh, get me! A year ago I'd have blanched at the thought of part-time work, now I crave it. I'm full of OS and DFW ideas now, you see, and can manage on less. Although DFD will be further away. But as long as I'm happy and making the minimum payments (and I've managed to get the interest dropped on the two debts I still have) it's OK.

I thought of another Ray. What about the guy currently off Strictly Come Dancing? The fella who was (maybe still is, I don't know) a mechanic in Corrie.

The search for Rays is off. There is only one in my super fantasy world. Real life isn't so exciting.

In the pipeline is work for next week. Just awaiting confirmation - but I don't want to count my chickens just yet.

Glad to see you are keeping up with all things MSE, DFW and RAY.

Now as a true MSEr how could your machine have too much powder in it - Get down to OS now - and just imagine all the fun you too could have with some rubber gloves, microfibre cloths and stardrops.

Off to update mine now (I'm not copying - Mr ZTD PM's me too ).
