Minnster....of COURSE a girl can have what she wants without having to have a man in tow.....but the first flush of a new romance is always the BESTEST feeling and we all love a bit of that so we're just all getting excited on your behalf! So there.

    :D

Aw, Freebird! Thanks for that. Guess I'm just a hardened old cynic and a diehard wannabe spinster.

It's lovely that you're all so thrilled for me. I'm really very touched.

It's still early days but so far, so good. I'll keep you posted! ;)

  • Truly, truly, truly, oh...
    Dont talk to me, no
    About people who are nice
cause I have spent my whole life
    In ruins
Because of people who are nice
Oh, this world may lack style, I know
Each bud must blossom and grow, oh...

I'm here in the middle of the day - a rare day off. I had a difficult night and I've had a difficult morning. I'm just resting for a moment until I'm off again to get busy.

    No rest for the wicked?

I long to stop and do nothing and to switch off and let all my worries go. Sometimes I think I create worry for myself out of nothing - a fair old trick, but par for the course.

Right now, my debts seem the least of my problems, but they'll still be here when the rest of them have gone.

Sorry to bore, but it's my thread, and I'll cry if I want to.

Where would I be without my girls, eh?

Thank you both so much for dropping in wid da hugz.

Brighter day today. Yesterday was hairy for two reasons:

    1) I had a long-awaited appointment at the hospital which made me fret a lot and saw the departure of the usual Minnie cool. I'm pleased to report that it was OK (even if I do have to go back in two weeks, so expect another rant then).

    2) Last Vincent on Monday night so of course I spent Monday night after 10.30 in bits. Like you do, eh, Freebird? Feeling better now as I'm back in work today where we have an informal Ray Fan Club. :T At least we can mourn together.

Thankfully the sniff of romance has not yet taken to the hills. He's taking me out for the day on Saturday (MSE style, of course). The poor fool. He actually seems to like me. :rotfl: There's still time...

Wooohoooo.....an all-dayer?? Now there's something to look forward to, Minns! :j

I can see how the hospital appt would have made you fret so am glad it's over - and as for the one in two weeks...well...lots of Minniepositivity!!

As for Ray..........aptly enough, he's starring in a film out at the mo called The Departed.......go grab yourself some free cinema tickets and get in there for a little top-up fix.:D :D

The girls are always here for you......rant away to your hearts content whenever you need to......but you know we'll just say something daft and cheer you up again....so there.
  • I love java, sweet and hot
Whoops Mr Moto, I'm a coffee pot
Shoot the pot and I'll pour me a shot
    A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup

The song says it all. Currently drowning in something strong and full-bodied.

:coffee: Coffee! - you mucky-minded folk!

One day I'll post here on an average day. I only seem to write when I've very up or very down. Or tangling with washing machines.

Today is a very upbeat day. Hurrah!

Lots achieved. Clean and sparkling kitchen this morning and lots of college work done this afternoon. I'm back to it in a mo (struggling to learn to love this particular module...) but I needed a coffee break and a swing around the room to the Puppini Sisters.

Update then - the new job is short on dosh (DFD disappearing into the middle distance...) but long on satisfaction :T. And I get flexi time which is a joy. Luckily I'm managing to budget well on less money, helped, no doubt, by being paid weekly. Darn, life seems even civilised! College is great (distinctions for last three essays - go Minnie!) and the impending exams (January - prepare to send good vibes) don't scare me. Weight continues to fall, so I'm on course to look passable for the next scary birthday. The sniff of romance has continued - he's so lovely and I can't believe my luck.

I'm almost afraid of being so happy - pride coming before a fall and all... But, really, what's the worst that could happen? Nothing that hasn't happened before and I'm still here.

Its great to hear you've found a more satisfying job and are managing on the money side. Money's helpful isn't it but its not everything, compared to being happy.

Go Minnie! :T Standing by with good vibes for january although it sounds like you don't need them!

That's a good way of looking at it! I hope you're enjoying being happy and not worrying about what could happen. :)
