All Superdrug batteries 49p a pack

Went to the Superdrug in Slough and there were no reductions on batteries, does this just work at the till?
Has anyone got any batteries yet did the offer start?
Or was I too slow and all the 8 pack have gone! I could only see 4 packs and brands other than Superdrug.Seth.0 -
Just went into the store in Uxbridge... all were still full price!
One exception was the 8xAAs at £1.49 (whereas the 4xAAs were £2.99)Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!0 -

i went into my local store at 9.30 am .
nothing on show.
talked to a member of staff... she advised that at 8am this morning they had set up special displays of Energiser batteries ... loads of stock ... and a windowbill for the 49p offer .
Just before they opened at 9am they got a phone call from Head Office saying " offer cancelled , please remove everything until further notice"
she believed it was going to be on from today for 7 days .
No idea what will happen now.0 -

Checked at my Local Store and same story had an email from Head Office, maybe a gerbil on here works for them and they thought they'd get invaded, she did tell me to look out on Monday or Friday next week to see if it does happen.0

Hello, this went live Friday and was, as you say, withdrawn almost immediately - I think this was due to the EOPS not being updated, rather than a change of mind. It's likely this will happen from this friday instead now. it will nto include rechargable, just ordinary ones in orangey packaging. Sorry to waste everyones time this week! But the stock is still abundent and the offer is coming imminently, ... so be ready!!!0
