SEE MY POST 20. There is no more to say really.
they get away with it as its not against the law to ask for payment.
Ask any copper and all he will say is "Sorry Sir, Its a civil matter"
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I believe it is called the Oxford English Dictionary.

Wholly inapplicable. These are defined legal terms, not an OED issue at all.
And are only of relevance to real PCNs from a council.

You can also safely ignore "Wow" as well. Plainly does not know what he/she is talking about.

We've told you how it will go, and the thread I linked earlier on here even shows you EXACTLY what letters you will receive over the coming months. What more info do you need? :)

There's nothing else to tell you except ignore them and live your life, don't appeal, don't contact them in any way, don't panic.

But - how come you (later) started another thread about a clamping issue? Isn't the clamping more concerning to you than this piece of paper, seeing as you actually paid the scammers in that case? You need to get that money back and forget about this rubbish.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So - bearing in mind this was on private land where yellow lines mean diddly squat - the so-called 'offence' was what exactly?

Your odd posts remind me of that Smith & Jones sketch about trumped up Police charges - with Griff Rhys Jones gleefully listing a load of ridiculous 'charges' such as 'walking around with an offensive...wife'. Do you ticket people for that as well?

    Don't believe it.;)

    Parked on yellow lines

    Parked without a permit

    Parked without a ticket

    Obstructive parking

    Overstayed free time.
