£150 parking fine for being parked whilst sitting in the car

Hi
I received a parking fine in the post by a company called park direct.
There was no ticket left on my screen , they have sent a letter with photo of the back of my car.
I ws parked at ealing train station in the parked bays , waiting to pick up some passengers form the train station. I am a taxi driver.
Parking notice states my vehicle was believed to be stopped or waiting at ealing broadway station where I was sitting in my car
Next to me are two more cars parked next to me
Does anyone know if this is an offense , any ideas what I can do.They are charging £150 which sounds abit hefty for this sort of thing

Is it a Parking Charge Notice with no mention of Council or Railway regs? = scam!
If it's just a private parking ticket then you have not committed any offence, and it's not a real fine, it doesn't matter about the photo. Nothing will happen and your credit rating will not be affected - think of it as a Nigerian phishing email, only with a nice photo of your car on it!
Read the first thread on here to see what sort of letters (from Park Direct and their debt collector agents) the registered keeper will need to ignore, before the whole extortion attempt fizzles out:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=163
Then read as many of the other threads as it takes for you to be confident that we are right when telling posters to ignore PPC letters and fake tickets. You should find the answers to your queries on other threads, and you'll get an idea of how common this rip-off is, bearing in mind that most people probably just blindly pay it without looking on the internet for advice.
Here's a thread from someone who got a ticket just like yours, outside a railway station, from Park Direct Ltd. They posted about it on here and then on pepipoo.com as well, this was only last month (that's where we got the preview letters from which are shown on our 'what to expect' thread):
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=49311&pid=447859&st=0&#entry447859
Happy reading!
P.S. If by any chance there is mention of a Council, Magistrates Court or Railway Byelaws then the ticket would need another look by experts on here or on pepipoo.com. Have a look on the ticket, find who it tells you to appeal to? If it says you have to appeal to the Private Parking company (don't bother!) then it's a scam as shown above.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is a very well-known scam, isn't it? I'm sure I've seen quite a few people post about tickets they've received on pepipoo. They were even ticketing cars that drove into bays just to turn around. On some of them, the reversing lights were on.
Have a read of this too:

That is what normally happens when you put a car in reverse.0 -

The tickets showed the reversing lights - ie the drivers weren't even parked.
If they drove in then reversed out then they must have came to a stop at some point.
When you come to a stop you are classed as being parked regardless of whether you are in the car or not.:)0 -
So when you're sat at traffic lights you are parked? When you are stopped at a junction/roundabout you are parked?
Of course you aren't. Don't be so silly.0
