If the car isn't moving you are parked.
You are not parked. You are waiting.
In the real world of council PCNs the question is were you 'waiting where prohibited' and without any of the available exemptions. And is all the paperwork compliant, are the signs and lines compliant, does the Traffic Order (validly) create the contravention, has the council committed a procedural impropriety.
In the world of Private Parking Companies in general, and in this case in particular I hazard, none of this matters.0 -

i been reading up and since 2007 this company being doing this.yet how come they can get away with this.
i couldn't find anything in what to reply and they stated I have 7 days to appeal.Plus £150 fine for reversing is more than getting your car clamped
I couldn't find anything to say to them.
People are saying ignore them, or should I appeal and state I did not park just reverse my car out.
my car picture is the back with me parked awkwardely and my tyres on the yellow lines.0 -
Ealing broadway is a very well known scam. The usual advice, proved correct on nearly every case, is to ignore.
Don't Pay
Don't contact
Don't acknowledge
Don't say who the driver is
Don't Worry.
You will get a few threatening letters which are toothless.
Don't Worry.
They have never gone to court so you have nothing to worry about there.
Ignore the posts above arguing whether stopping is parking, its all a distraction and confuses the issue which is
DON'T WORRY JUST IGNORE.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

If it's just a private parking ticket then you have not committed any offence, and it's not a real fine, it doesn't matter about the photo. Nothing will happen and your credit rating will not be affected - think of it as a Nigerian phishing email, only with a nice photo of your car on it!

Thanks I looked over this, but couldnt find out on what to do.either to appeal within their 7 days or just ignore them.the pictures were exactly as I got them.
My car was also parked awkardely as I was to reverse out of the bay, my tyres on the yellow line.apparently you have to be within the yellow lines?
the regulatory body is it called the bPS or whatever they are alos useless , they say they can not do anything until they receive massives of complaints yet this company since 2007 have been doing the same scam and charging around £150, how do they get away with this.0
