Nationwide must have realised how daft it was having this £250 payment limit, the single limit is now £1000, the grand total remains at £10000

From the NWBS website: http://www.nationwide.co.uk/faster_payments/default.htm
Still not up to the required standard of £10k in or out instantly, but glory be for this minor advance0 -

My £5 SO out of 070116 ( to get the £75 incentive) took 3 days to reach destination on 22/3:(
Standing orders still take the standard three working days to reach the the receiving account. I believe that the banks are looking to make them go through on the same day at some point. I doubt Nationwide will be the first ones to implement this. Bunch of clowns.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -
Yes there is, how about the fact that they pay 0% interest on the account. If you keep your current account in credit, then you'd be mad to have it at 0%.
There is also the fact that they cannot do weekly standing orders. Terrible in branch service.
You cannot view charges on line.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -

Surely that advice is dated? Under £1000 the standing order should now go same-day unless the receiving bank does not accept Faster Payments, or have I read the Nationwide Faster Payments information page incorrectly?0 -

I think that you will find my advice is not dated. In my experience standing orders still take three days, this may have changed recently. My apologies if I have give dated information.Money is the headache, money is the cure!0 -
I think SO's still only go through the 07-44-56 sort code - the others take 3 working days.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

No if you follow the link http://www.nationwide.co.uk/faster_payments/default.htm
first given above by thefirs you will see that from the 19th April all sort codes are enabled for FP up to £1000 for SO, immmediate payments and future dated payments.0 -

Many banks including Nationwide process standing orders via FP.
