Just on the 'moderated' issue - we had that discussion in another thread - if you look below the image you'll see i've posted the new text - the image is to show "look" not content :)

  • All looks far too cluttered generally to me although the new bit is an improvement. When I first found this site it took me an absolute age to work out what was what and where the links to forums etc. were. Now I know the layout of the site it's OK but as a first time visitor I think I'd give up. (As a regular user I never look at the top anyway I just go to where I want to be mainly because it is so cluttered - it offends my eyes).

My eye is immediately drawn to the green and the pictures, if scanning I don't think I would register "IMPORTANT! This is an open forum - anyone can post. Please exercise caution ...". Could that bit be on the green too (ie lose the lines, one rectangle not two.)

I notice it it now in place. :)

Looks good for the most part, but the large grey areas to either side look a little odd. Is something going to go in there?

Martin's example in the opening post of this thread didn't really show clearly how this might look....

There are also no working links for the 'Forum Help' and 'Etiquette' tabs. I presume these are just not in place yet?

    Hi fermi,

When you click forum help and etiquette buttons, doesn't a popup box of text appear?

If it doesn't, can you let us know what browser and operating system you are using

    Nope. :(

Tried it in Firefox 3.6.2 and Opera 10.10 on Mandriva Linux.

Give me a minute or two and I'll fire up VirtualBox to try in on Windows.

    Same here.

Overall it looks very sweet although I'm a bit worried about the Dalek Baby the User Tools Morph is carrying - probably just my age ;)
