Hearing these stories takes me back a few years (well seven actually). OH & I lived together for 3 1/2 years before talk of marriage came up. Then how to do it - we both have small direct families but lots of cousins etc. We decided to have the wedding in mid-Wales (Lakw Vyrnwy - wonderful setting) with just six of us present - my parents, DW's sons from her first marriage (father of the bride was 12 years old and I had a 9-year old best man) and us two. That was on a Wednesday and we had a party at a large pub at home on the Saturday evening where we invited all and sundry but there were no formalities - worked like a dream.
