Schumie - It's natural to feel the way you do. I've got kids and I still think I'd be grinding my teeth at the council house comment. Big hugs for you and your H. One of my very good friends is in the same position as you and I am well aware when I am moaning about my kids sleeping etc how she'd give her back teeth to be in my shoes :o

VickyA - well done on resisting the lure of chocolate.

JC - hope you're feeling better soon xx

    jellybaby - welcome :D

NPM - Sorry money is so tight for you. Hope you can find the money for OH's registration xx

Thanks to everyone for the hugs. Rosie was put to sleep at home and a nice calm manner and hopefully she's now in a happy place where arthritis (sp?) is no longer a problem. My mum and dad still have one dog left so I hope she's not going to pine too much for her buddy.

Off to dentist in the morning so will try and pop in tomorrow afternoon.

    Evening all.

Gosh, I get later and later posting on the Daily!

    Birthday Greetings Snoozer.

    Bitsy
so sorry to hear about Rosie; may her journey be a peaceful one.

Mr LW had to wear something green to w*rk today - they have these weird things at their place sometimes *rolleyes* - for St Paddy's Day. Only green thing he has (by way of outer wear, anyway;)) is a jumper I knitted for him about 5 years ago, so he wore that.

He's now changed into his customary "evening" wear of jeans and t-shirt (this one is grey, with a wizard on it) and is busy doing his WiiFit+.

I'm being very good and not filming him on my mobile phone!:A:rotfl:

Dins tonight was nut loaf with roast roots, brought forward from tomorrow because he prepped twice as many veggies as we needed yesterday, so I swapped today's omelette, and we'll have that tomorrow. (Gods, did any of that make sense?) *Confused*

Have a good evening, everyone; ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

    Evening all

Sorry I have been MIA for a while after only just joining you all, I feel I am not committed enough! I managed to do some OS things by bulk cooking and freezing thai red and green curry and spag bol. I have also been spending time sorting out my finances now I am single. I've opened an ISA and a savings account and applied for a credit card with a larger limit than the current £500 limit I have (direct debit set up to pay off in full every month so still mse).

Treated myself to some new bras today (not very mse) but the thread on the marriages and relationships board motivated me to get measured again.Got a day off work tomorrow to study for a law exam I'm doing next week. I've not even managed to read the material yet, help!

Hugs to all those having tough times. I'm trying to keep my chin up but end up often crying on a night. I think tiredness doesn't help xxxxx
Thank you to all posters :A

    Yes it is HM;

    1 onion, diced.
    2 cloves garlic, sliced small.
Butter for frying (or healthier oil, if you wish:))
    2 eggs (large)
    A dessertspoon of cornflour
a sloosh of milk (I think it works out to 5 or 6 tablespoons)
13 oz nuts - I use whatever's in the cupboard, usually an eclectic mix of walnuts, brazils, cashews, almonds, all wuzzed in the food processor.
    7 oz brown breadcrumbs
2 oz STRONG grated cheese (I use Extra Extra Mature Cheddar from the farmers market)
A good pawful of dried mixed herbs.

    Use a LARGE saucepan!
Grease and line a loaf tin - not sure of the capacity, but mine is just over 8"long

Fry garlic and onion in butter.
Add cornflour, mix in, add milk, mix til it all thickens.
    Allow to cool.
    Add eggs and mix well.
Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl, and incorporate into the onion/egg mixture, in the saucepan (that's why you use a large one!)
Put into loaf tin and press down into the corners.
Bake at 180 C for 40 mins; leave in tin for at least 10 mins before turning out.

I slice this into 8 portions, put a bit of greasproof paper between them, and freeze.

Please bear in mind that this was typed off the top of my head - I had to mentally go through doing the recipe:D so I hope I've got it all correct.;)

Welcome jellybaby .........We don't bite HONEST !

Had a quite productive day got most of my seeds sown - (Knees are agony tonight though). DH had a fit and told me not to do anymore in the garden he will do it - but I have got to try I don't want to be a burden.

Popped round to see my God daughter and take her a card and pressie because it is her 21st today.

Didn't feel much like cooking tonight which was good because it was HM chicken soup and HM bread tonight.

DS did the washing up for me while I had a shower so I am feeling a little bit better in my pj's and dressing gown and have time to chill on the computer for a little while - I am going to try and get an early night tonight.

So I will say nite nite and will catch you all tomorrow x x
