Welcome jellybaby21 :hello: you'll love it here everyone is lovely!
Bitsy - hugs to you darling, have a good cry I'm sure it'll help xx

NPM - sorry had to laugh at DS's choice of advert :D

Just to let everyone know, I was a hard-bargainer earlier on and managed to get my mobile company down to a brand new phone, 100 minutes and unlimited texts, plus free internet for a months trial for £10 a month! (Insert smug smilie here :D) They were actually very keen to retain my business which I was most shocked about - dead chuffed! New phone will be delivered to my home address tomorrow and the old contract ceased immediately!

Now to get my boss to roll over like that and give me a pay rise... and a job I'm actually interested in :p:D

    xx

    Hi all

Today started off fairly normal. Got to work and took my big horse tablet (ibruprofen), around ten I started to feel a little odd...a bit dizzy. Boss went out and about ten minutes later I moved my head and the whole world started spinning. I felt terribly sick tried to get up to go to the loo holding onto the desk but just couldn't walk. Tried to ring DH and he didn't answer. Rang my boss (by this point I was crying :o) He said he was coming back. Rang the emergency docs (docs closed today here) Got hold of DH and he got my friend to fetch him to my office.

Anyway got home, got tablets and slept until now. Feel a little better....providing I don't move my head. When I do I feel drunk...drunker than I would ever get because I don't like the spinny feeling of being drunk!

Doc said its possibly the RA, possibly the higher dose of brufen I've been taking since friday or just total co-incidence.

I just hope it goes as quickly as it came!

Hope everyone else's floor remains in the same place all day :D

    Evening all

I honestly don't know where the days are going! :rotfl: Got 11 out of 13 of my work kids sorted on work placements so just got 2 more to sort tomorrow. Today just flew by in work!

I've just had some good news. Last week I had my electric bill (all electric flat) for 4 month period and it was £360  I'd already paid £160 by DD's and wasn't expecting it to be that much, was thinking more like £250. I wasn't able to check the meter readings as the meter's are in a cupboard in the communal hallway and my one is too high up to read without a step ladder but the ladder is missing! So I paid the extra from my bills savings account. I had 2nd bill today saying they had overestimated my bill and a meter reader came in week, and I am due a £100 refund :D:j:D

Not much OS for me today. Dinner is HM curry and rice from freezer.

    Happy St Patrick's Day!

Good evening Chums, well I have had a great day,my new computer desk is all built and also my new bookcase, so my study is looking really good .My friend and her husband worked so hard to get it all done bless them and wouldn't take anything for all their hard work.I shall treat her when we go to the Cotswolds in 4 weeks time.
Next room to detox is the spare bedroom, but we are leaving that till after our hols.
Breast care clinic rang as well this afternoon and said my new prosthesis is in and I can get it next Tuesday, another brilliant thing for me as the one I have is a bit too big for me now as I have lost a bit of weight since my last one so I was a bit lopsided :)Equalibrium will be achieved by next week at least:).
We had a nice lunch and there is enough left over for tomorrow and tonight I am just going to have a sandwich and maybe a yoghurt as I'm still full up from lunch.
No school run tomorrow so I might even have a lie in for a change ,depends on the weather as I hate to miss the sun coming up in the morning and my little blackbird 'Basil' is a noisy perisher if I haven't put out his breakfast for him.
Well Happy Birthday Snoozer I hope you have a great night out and enjoy your meal and <<hugs>> to Smokey and family onwards and upwards me dear you are coping very well.
Right I'm off to sort myself a sandwich out
    Have a good evening everyone
    Cheers JackieO

    Hello all :hello:

    Happy birthday to snoozer

tru - just had a look on your website. I'll be taking a longer look at it later - it looks really interesting!

The cooking for ourselves hasn't worn off yet and last night I made a large batch of spag bol. Mmmmm, the extra portions are sitting in the freezer ready and waiting! Tonight, it's yellow sticker fish cakes though. I hope that DH appreciates the effort.

I had a real crisis today. People keep giving me chocolate, but I've given it up for Lent. Because I haven't been feeling too great (just a cold) I nearly cracked and ALMOST took a bar out of my drawer at work. Guilt took the better of me for once and the chocolate bar is still in there. Plus, tomorrow it's my birthday and I always question why I stop eating my very favourite food (after steak!) for Lent. Hmmm. Still no answer. :D

Hi everyone, prob not the best place to post today but i wanted a rant and this is the daily thread!!

We've been trying for a baby for nearly 2 years (I'm 35) and no luck and today and a colleague at work announced that she's pregnant. I know i should be happy for her and i am, i really am, but she said to me "at least we'll get a council house now!"

It sounds silly but i am sooooooo jealous that she is having a baby and we can't seem to have one. i am happy for her but i am also so unbelievably jealous which i know is childish and pathetic!

Sorry for the rant but i know that she prob didn't want this baby (due to the comments re getting a council house) and wants the trimmings that go with it and we want one so much.

Sorry for the rant but i'm so - I don't know angry maybe? Jealous maybe? but also very very sad that's its not me saying that I'm pregnant.
Trying to save money and always open to ideas and expecting our first child in March 2015.

schumie - (((hugs))) nothing much i can say to help but am sending you a virtual hug x

not had time to read the thread today due to work and taking DH for his hospital appointment.
He's not got gout! the specialist thinks it psoriatic arthritis. He's had more xrays and tests and a steroid injection for now. Got to go back in a few months for a follow up. A lovely doctor, we were really impressed with him:T

OS - not a lot:D 1 load of washing done and dried. Tea for me was HM macaroni cheese from frfeezer. DH and DS had frozen southern fried chicken and chips(needed an easy tea)
Not going to do much else apart from a soak in the bath.

    (((hugs))) to those in need

Take care all, see you tomorrow
    Do what you love :happyhear
