There's a box in asda thats two tier, one large top tier for a sandwich and the other is separated into two. I just use that. :) i think it was three or four pounds. It holds enough for a substantial lunch. if I can be helpful with anything else feel free to pm me. x

I've always been interested in Bento boxes... What kind of things do you put in yours?
  • I'm another leftovers person. Even took them to uni, was often known to eat sausage, mash, veg and gravy cold! I take a little cool bag. Will be easier come September as I have got myself a full time teaching job, and school has got a fridge and microwave, so can take stuff to reheat if I fancy. Just make sure you cook extra or make lunch at dinner, doesn't feel like any extra work then.

I've just got an office job so it means I have to bring my own food in (no supermarkets in the area) so I'm making rice dishes or noodles and veggies in a box to take with me with no microwave here, just a kettle so sometimes I cheat and bring in a pot noodle. I bring snacks like nuts and raisins and heat up stuff in advance so I can eat it warm at my desk from my bag. Also packs of sushi (my guilty pleasure)

Forgot to mention the packs of rice/corn crackers I store in the cupboard and the cheese slices in the fridge. They are handy for snacking on

I am totally amazed that people still go out to lunch or buy a lunch 5 days a week. That is big money and probably has less nutritional value than that which you can put together yourself in a few minutes.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
