The AA stated that in February we had the 11th most expensive petrol and 2nd most expensive diesel in Europe.

Ahead of us in the petrol queue are France, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Italy and others. The problem we have is Diesel which all our goods need.

    Great idea! :j

Just dont forget to set aside £1500 for a new diesel pump when you knacker it.

    Or burn the injectors out.

And invalidate any warranty you have on the car.

Most of the vehicles that can run on veg oil/ pure bio are older, and it is a bad idea to try it in most vehicles made post 2000 Diesel Bob is the first stop to help check suitability imho:

Basically anything common rail is out, and would be seriously knackered if you tried it.

Maybe some of you are rich enough not to care about being ripped off or maybe you just dont care about anyone else - that is the British way isnt it?

Yes, the face book page may come to nothing, infact it probably will come to nothing. The 60 odd million lemmings that infest this rip off rat infested Island will continue to live their brainwashed lives and hapily hand over all their cash to the first criminal that asks for it.

We are being lied to at every turn, from Iraq, Afghanistan, Terrorism, to fuel prices being high due to, whats the lastest ? Oh yes, lack of refining capacity. A once great nation is now nothing more than a bunch of wimpering cowards that do what they are told and question nothing.

Lets have another 5 years of Labour and finish the country off for good. Maybe its for the best?

I don't recall seeing a commitment from any of the opposition parties to reducing the price of fuel, do you have any links?:)

And filling in yet another online 'protest' is going to change any of that is it?

    You're very naive.

For the record, i've done a hell of a lot more to reduce the amount of tax / vat i pay on fossil fuels year in year out - far more effective than sitting on your hands and doing sod all or becoming a 'keyboard warrior'

You need to strangle the motorways. A few cars on the entrance's or exits. A rolling blockade on all the motorways at the same time etc etc. There are many other ways but, if you stop the motorways, the government will have to do something.
    Nice to save.

    And breath :rotfl:

Thanks for insulting everyone who asked some important questions. If you dislike this 'rat infested' country so much perhaps you should make your way to the exit.

France would welcome you, they love protesting which is why on average they pay more for a litre of unleaded! Oh wait that isn't right. O.K go to Germany, their efficiency sees them pay err more for a litre of unleaded. That's not right either- perhaps the free-spirit liberal Netherlands where unleaded is more expensive than us.

Dont have much warranty left on a 12 year old Corsa diesel and for £1500 I'd buy another car (or 3?) (probably something with 7 seats and 4 wheel drive just incase it snows again ever).
The wife has the family runaround (common rail, bio calls perhaps) and I have a bike to fall back on if I need it. (no, not a pushbike lol)

As said, anything with common rail (partly why I got rid of my tdci Mondeo) wont work/will run into the problems you mention but theres plenty cars out there that will.

Thanks robredz for the dieselbob site, I'll get some ideas from there for my next car.
