Waste in prep just now which will bring it down to 60p.
Great idea! :j
Just dont forget to set aside £1500 for a new diesel pump when you knacker it.
Or burn the injectors out.
And invalidate any warranty you have on the car.0 -
The bottom line is that the oil companies AND the government are ripping people off. The rubbish about refining capacity and all the other excuses they have come up with is just spin. A few of us (a growing number Im pleased to say) have decided to do something about this huge scale theft and have started a campaign. Unfortunately it seems were unable to post the link here so simply search FACEBOOK for "STOP THE UK FUEL RIP OFF" You will also find the a link in our profile.
The ONLY way the price will be brought down is if MP's / Govt think its going to cost them votes. They couldnt care less about anything else. So, the more people that sign up, the more chance we have of hitting main news etc and when that happens, Govt & MP's go into vote saving mode which will bring the price down.
Please consider signing up (It costs nothing but the click of your mouse).
Thanks
(Mods, would be really grateful if a link could be posted)0 -

Hintza, I wasnt a fan or member of face book until yesterday - but millions of people are so it seemed like a good place to start. Were not trying to sell facebook to anyone - If people have an account and want to sign up they can, if they dont, they wont. All were simply trying to do is something about the theft occuring on every fuel station forecourt in the land.0

Whilst they may make sympathetic noises (mind you they'd have to rehearse for a few weeks to make it sound convincing) nothing is going to change if all that happens is that a few thousands threaten to withhold their votes. Besides who are you actually going to withhold them from? The Labour candidates? perhaps the Lib Dems? or the Conservatives? They are all the same and there will be no real change so long as this crowd are allowed run the shop.
The only thing that is likely to cause any real pain is if the fuel companies are made to suffer. I wouldn't ever recommend violent action but boycotting one of them would cause pain and it wouldn't take very long for it to really hurt. The companies would soon go running to their policitian friends - exactly like they did last time and that prat Bliar panicked.
The reason why we pay the greatest fuel tax (amongst other things) and are the most surveilled country in the world bar none is that we have allowed Big Business to rule the roost and ourselves to be completely taken in by them and their political mouthpieces. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Old story I know: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/oilprices/5122317/Tankers-anchor-off-Devon-waiting-for-oil-prices-to-rise.html
but my father in law who lives in the area told me a few weeks ago the oil tankers are parking there again.
BTW, facebook is a place where you can play "Farmville" and ask your friends to feed your virtual chickens, fertilise your virtual crops and clutter up everyone you are linked withs message board with messages about what is going on in your virtual farm thus crowding out the odd useful bit of information such as a birth, death or marriage which real facebook converts will only announce on face book and no where else.0 -
Great! A Facebook campaign! So what are we all going to do?
Yes it'll allow some idiots influencing the xmas number one, I cant see many people going to the extent of getting arrested or jailed on anti-terror charges by blockading refineries or other major protests to cause mayhem.
Is it the one with 15 fans by the way, or have I typed it wrong.0 -
I posted this on another thread just now, but petrol and diesel prices are not at a record high on the forecourt.
I have all the daily emails for diesel price in my area (Hampshire) from petrolprices.com dating back to 11 June 2008 and I can tell you:
Peak diesel price was 135.9p per litre 15th to 22nd July 2008
Lowest diesel price since was 97.9p per litre 5th to 9th January 2009
Today's diesel price is 117.9p per litre0
