newish housing estate private car park problems with kids

The problem I had last year was young kids about 8 9 years old playing around my car, they used to pay ball games but the company who own the car park have now put NO BALL GAMES signs up, they no longer kick a ball around. The problem I am having now is they seem to pay with their toy guns etc around the cars and its driving me mad, the parents dont watch them cause they probabaly think its secure. I had a massive row with 2 of the parents last year, one of them no longer lets there kids near my car and does watch them (2 kids).
My partner says I am over reacting as my car has never been damaged. In a car park near by a kid got hit, and i suppose thats on my mind too, when I drive in and out of the car park.
There is nothing I can do as they pay to keep their cars in there too.
Should I be worried? anyone else have this problem?
thanks
Easy solution. The private company should put a sign up saying 'no war games'.
These young scamps complied with the no ball games sign, why wouldn't they do so with a no war games sign.

Police? why would the police get involved? are the little kids thugs with daggers or are they kids just playing with a ball (which has now been stopped because of your complaints.. well done :P).
Oh and you got me laughing ' I spoke to kids.', 'I spoke to Police'... 'Had a row with parents (PLURAL NOT SINGULAR!!!)'
So basically nobody likes you in your neigbourhood cause you complained against anyone with kids... so i guess your not no 1 neighbour in your area and people arent too friendly there.
And for what? You didnt stop them playing by your car.... but made yourself the annoying neighbour etc.... theres always one in a neighbourhood... and what they 'gained' from complaining they usually lose in the not being invited to any other neighbourly meeting thing...
If you called police on my children for playing with a ball i'd think you were right a nutjob.
Btw what car is it? diamond plated porsche or something?0 -
I'd like to add that by ostracizing yourself (complaining) If kids were so bad.. you car would've mysteriously been effed one night.... but it aint so it cant be that bad of an area or neighbours... i agree with partner you overreact.0

a kid scratched my dads car (i was about 16) so i shot him with my BB gun - he fell off his bike but strangely didnt come and play with his bike next to the car again.
Not saying you should do that, its just sometimes if the parents dont teach their kids anything they learn their valuable life lessons from elsewhere :-)MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -

Well unpleasant PMs have been allegedly been sent so could well be a troll"One thing that is different, and has changed here, is the self-absorption, not just greed. Everybody is in a hurry now and there is a 'the rules don't apply to me' sort of thing." - Bill Bryson0 -
