Sunnygirl - Do the sandwiches freeze well with mayo? is it still the same consitency when its defrosted? We love tuna onion & mayo sandwiches here but have always thought that they wouldn`t freeze well.
They freeze absolutely fine honest! I just mash the tuna in a bowl and add the chopped onion and mayo then spread on buttered bread as normal and double wrap in cling film then tinfoil and bung them in the freezer :rotfl: I think the trick is to have the bread buttered right to the edges so that it forms a waterproof coating and doesn't go soggy at all plus the double wrapping. It seems a faff but its so quick just to grab one out either the night before or first thing in the morning :T I froze tuna & salad cream sandwiches for DD for years when she was at primary school and they were always fine too. Hope this helps :)

I met up with DH and did the supermarket shop once I'd finished today which saves me a job tomorrow. I have put the chicken sweet & sour off until tomorrow too as DD and DS1 have gone up to my Mum's for tea and DH is out at an early governors meeting and doesn't want any tea. I'll do omlettes with a carrot, sultana & peanut salad instead followed by fresh pineapple courtesy of Aldi's super six :money:

Lowsey :j:j Brilliant news for DH I agree that it is about time your luck changed :A

Off to get the washing from the line now it's all dry and smelling lovely :T

    Afternoon all.

Apologies, I haven't had chance to look at the Daily for a few days, so hugs, hurrahs and birthday greetings as appropriate.:o

Overdid things yesterday (one day I'll learn to pace myself:whistle:) as I did a whole load of baking after I'd done the Flylady tasks, so I'm a bit like a wet Tuesday in Chalfont St Giles today (no offence meant,if you live in C St G:)).

Luckily Mr LW has prepped the veggies for tonight's dins for me (veggie stew with herby dumplings), and we've apple pie for pud.

Anyway, I feel a definite need for 40 winks, so will shut up for now.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today; healing vibes for Tris and anyone else needing them, also.

    Evening all

I had a rather productive day at work :) sorted out work placements for 7 out of 13 of my young people, hopefully the rest will be done tomorrow. Got loads of little bits sorted once they went home too. I found out that my boss has enrolled me into a learning course which will benefit me, the company and look fab on my CV :D (not that I'm planning on leaving my job ever cos I love it loads!). And the issue I was worried about in work last week is all sorted and won't affect me at all :)

I met the 2 people who got my bits off Freecycle and both were very grateful. Sold another DVD too. I got a postcard off my nan who is on hols in Oz, she has been there a month and actually flies back today!

I still have no idea what to have for tea. Might have potato waffles and beans, not OS or HM but sometimes you gotta have the easy option! :rotfl: Need to sort lunch for tomorrow too.

    Have a good evening
