Morning all
I'm passing on my first 2 things by Freecycle today
Both people who want them live near where I work so have arranged for them to collect off me at lunchtime, hopefully they will both turn up. And sold 2 more DVD's on Amazon overnight too, so need to package and post them today.
Bit cloudy this morning, whihc suits me as I need to get work kids to do paperwork all day which can be a nightmare when the weather is nice!
No idea what to have for dinner, payday is Friday and I'm trying not to spend anymore money this week other than the £12 I have in my purse. I have plenty of food in, but lacking in fresh veg/fruit, do have some frozen veg though.
Have a good day all

Good Morning everyone and what a beautiful morning it is I watched the sun rise over the river again and it never fails to move me the different colours we get in the sky. I have an eye for the appreciation of colours, but unfortunately not the talent for painting them, but I do enjoy the 'free' picture show every morning.'Basil ' has had his breakfast and dissappeared to his roost in the tree at the bottom of the garden.Mrs Basil isn't around much, so maybe they have some little Basil's cooking in their nest.He is looking a lot brighter though and his tail feathers seem to have become less bedraggled.
I have the school run this morning with the boys and then I must get the iroing put away and deep clean the bathroom.A bit of sun shows up all the bits missed when its cold and you just want to get back in front of the fire rather than anything else.I am also going to do another pineapple trifle as tomorrow I have my friend and her husband coming down from Dartford.he ,bless him is going to put up a new bookshelf and my new computer desk for me .he is such a nice chap that i want to do them a decent lunch, and being a chap I thought he will enjoy a good pud to follow. She 'voluteered' him and we will utilise his carpentry skills to the utmost as he is usually flying around the world with his job so its not often we can call on him.
we time is getting on and I must go and get some coffee and bagels down my neck to get motivated (can't run an engine on low fuel)Hope everyone has a good day
take care

Good Morning All,
Diva Positive vibes to Tris
NMLC thought I had a problem with my central locking, turned out I needed a battery in the fob:o fingers crossed.
ESMF hugs sounds like things are tough at the moment
Redruby glad mum is feeling better. Brothers! I have 3!
N9eav fingers crossed for DD the course sounds great
Its my day looking after DGS today so the house will be a tip and I will get nothing done:rotfl:but sometimes housework comes second. Every minute with him is prescious as he is being shipped backwards and forwards between mum and dad since the split. Things should settle when she gets her own place, and he will have a proper routine.
Got mum and dad coming for lunch so just nice sandwiches and biscuits I made yesterday.
Have a lovely day everyone. Will try and catch up later xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all – blue skies here and I’m kicking myself for not putting the washing on the line before I left. Will have to do that at lunch time.
Notjustlaura – congratulations – you must be feeling fantastic. Keep up the good work
Julie67 – ((hugs)) for you – I hope you can sort something out ASAP.
MSD – Poor Tris. Thinking of him.
Had the house valued last night – looks like it might go for a bit more than we thought which will mean a bit more to put towards the deposit! Yay! Off to see the financial advisor tonight (puppy-dog off to play at a friend’s house!), so hopefully everything will fall in to place. Another house viewing tomorrow too. It’s all go here!
Jobs for today – ring Doggy Daycare and get puppy-dog booked in, dig out all the paperwork for this afternoon’s meeting and drop St Patrick’s Day card off for nearly DStep-Mum (she’s Irish).
Lunch today is a chicken fajita wrap left over from last night, with grapes, pears and HM chocolate mousse (mmMMmm). Dinner is Steak & Kidney pie, mash and veg. Could do with baking a sponge for OH as he devoured his Caramel Shortbread rather quickly! That might have to wait until tomorrow though.
Hugs to all in need,

Good morning Everyone,
It's nice and bright up here, but I do't see "balmy" on our horizons, somehow. Had my dog obedience class last night which was very interesting, altough I feel like a bit of a fraud being the only one there with no doggie in tow.:o Coco will get her class this afternoon after school in the back garden, if I can keep her away from the birds lond enough!:rotfl:
Off to work shortly, I had a bit of a moan there yesterday about something which I think is unfair and affects me and lots of other people, to the point where I emailed the Managing Director, so I'm a bit nervous in case I need to speak to the General Manager today, not that I don't believe in what I said, and I did copy in my department manager, but sometimes sticking your head above the parapet is not the most sensible thing to do. I'm not the kind of person, though, to sit around and complain, and not try and do anything about it, so we'll see if it makes any difference - have to say I doubt it. Anyway, enough of my stresses and strains!
Need to do a food shop tonight, the cupboards are getting a bit bare, and I've not been as careful as I should with meal planning etc., so that needs sorting out.
Have a gorgeous day and hugs all round. Positive vibes for Tris.

:hello: Good morning!
I was up early again, but today it was due not to jetlag but to blooming mice. They arrived just before we went away in January, and I tried to get some poison at the time but Wilko's was sold out. While we were away DS bought some more traps and some bait which is meant to smell like peanut butter, but they're ignoring it. This morning was the first time I've heard one in our bedroom. I just hope it was nibbling the elderly carpet rather then the cables! We'll re-set the traps later with different bait - i remember last year DH used half a dried cranberry and that worked quite well
Goodness knows how somthing so small can make such a noise!
Diva :hello: Sorry Tris isn't doing well, am praying for him x
mooloo - So nice that you've joined the Daily thread!
csarina - The mobile chiropodist does seem rather expensive - my neighbour uses one who charges £22 per visit, and that's in Greater London!
((((HUGS)))) to all who aren't well.
I had Weetabix this morning - I missed it while we were away. In NZ they have a pale copy of it, called Weet-Bix, but it tastes like cardboard
We picked up the new Motability car yesterday, then went shopping - didn't do a "big shop" as there's stuff in the freezer that needs using up - I left some individual portions of a few things for DS to eat while we were away, but it's all still in there as he was so busy he wasn't at home very much! I'm looking forward to getting back to cooking!
A few more loads of washing to do today, and meant to be seeing DD2 and family later, but last night i started sneezing and my nose was streaming, and I don't know if it's a cold or just hayfever - mine always starts early. I was using my spray in NZ, what with it being Summer there, but forgot to take it with me on the flight home - plus we saw DD1 and family yesterday, and as well as their 2 dogs they have a rabbit and 3 guinea pigs which have all had to be brought into the house as it's been too cold for them outside, so it may be an allergy to them. I've had some Sudafed so will see how I go. I'm longing to see the little DGKs, but DD2 already has tonsillitis which her son was kind enough to pass on to her (really need rolling-eyes smiley at this point!).
Bye for now :wave:0 -

Diva - thinking of Tris x x
Redruby - glad your Mum is a bit better x

Donny - hope the meeting with the vicar goes well and good luck at the hospital x
(((hugs))) to those in need

Morning, found you! Hurray.
Meeting up with Molly41 today, showing her the delights of my village life. The coffee morning. Then running around after the twins for the rest of the day!.
hoping to eek out some time for me this evening, once DGD is in bed. need to do some sewing, and to prepare to do a sewing lesson for tomorrow. That should be interesting. Havent taught anyone for quite a few years. (I am not a qualified teacher, just been sewing for 40 odd years, and had a Dressmaking business in the 90's).
Hope that this will lead to a new business, job, for me in the near future.
Hope to have a very little No spend day day. Its a donation for the tea/cake.
Better go, will come back later, I hope, and read up everyone elses posts. Try to get to know you all a bit better. xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm on a bit of a roller coaster - mood is muh better but yesterday afternoon I crashed physically and felt awful for the rest of the day. I still feel a bit tired but today will be obeying orders and resting! I know I'm stupid but it's not easy to stop doing things wen you feel fine.
Diva I hope Tris rallies again.
Ivyleaf - yuk mice, I hope you get rid of them.
DS took over his new LIDL store yesterday - he's going to try not to work too much in this one because it's causing problems with his GF. Having said that his basic hours are 50 a week (he was doing more like 70 or 80 in his last store) so it's not as if he's slacking.
DD won a bungee jump in a dance comp in Queenstown but hse sold it, knowing my feelings on them! She'smoving on to Milford Sound today.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
