What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P

Washer - how are those lovely likkle kitticats this morning - bet kids are still excited about them :j
Tixy - so industrious - our whole bungalow needs decorating but we can't see a way through the clutter to do it - there sometimes seems like there is so much to do, we never get started on any of it
Spooo - DH has just had a LBM on drink !! as he just agreed with your statement 'you realise that you soon get out of the habit of drinking - he has lost 7 and a half stone at SW over past 20 months, now at Target, and most of it is cutting down on lager and chocolate - we have a little on a Monday night after weigh-in but that is all. So that statement coming from him was amazing :beer:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

In the village where I used to live, the Rotary Club organise a charity duck race every Easter Monday. it's so hilarious watching these men in boats pushing the plastic ducks down the dam, because they always get stuck! But there's always loads of people there, so at least a lot of money is raised for charity. Last year, my great-nephew's duck came second, and he won £40 and a massive Easter Egg!0 -
QUACKITY QUACK Emily - that sounds fun :j

Hi all
I was getting withdrawal symptoms - its the first time I have switched the computer on since Friday:eek: I only have the odd cough now but nowhere near as bad as I was and have spent the whole weekend doing not a lot:j I did use my late christmas present of a portable DVD player (so far used at New Year) to watch 2 DVDs of Charlie Boorman's By Any Means - just have the last half hour to watch now as the battery died.
So what have I missed?0 -
