If you come out of Central station down the steps, then you'd need to turn left or you'd be right where you think you'll be (Jamaica Street).

If you come out the front of the station (past the steps on the right) onto Gordon Street, then my directions should be ok. If you're staying at the hotel on George Square, next to Queen St station, it's an easy enough walk (assuming you travel light :D). Any further than that and you can get away with a taxi. Though pretend you know where you're going so they take you the shortest possible route - even if you have to fake a limp so they don't scowl at you :rotfl:.

    Enjoy! :D

    And Glaswegians are the worst!

I've a mad East coast-West coast hybrid. There's not a Glaswegian in Glasgow would believe I'm a West Coast girl - which I'm not. But now when I visit my home town, they think I'm from Glasgow, or putting on a mad, posh dialect trying to merge with the locals!

Working in Leicester was the funniest; me, Northern Irish girl and Newcastle girl in the office. No-one could tell the difference between our accents - which we obviously thought was mad!

Good evening all and how are we this fine, cold, windy evening? Have had a busy training day today followed by quick spag bol dinner and DS's deconstructed fruit crumble that he made in cookery class today. Apparently it looked splendid when it came out of the oven, but once cooled he put it in his empty Quality Street tin, put the lid on then turned the tin on its side to shove it down in his school bag......not so pretty when he got home and took the lid off! Tasted all right, though. Have instilled in him tonight the principle that when you cook something (cake, crumble, stew, whatever) it is usually a good idea to keep it right way up at all times.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes

It worked, you had it street map thingy:o

I couldn't figure out if I could make a street walking map thingy though. Bit too technical for me.

Nargle, you literally had crumble then! I've eaten some of my creme egg ice cream tonight and now feel slightly sick. Too much sweetness for one night (probably shouldn't have finished the caramel nibbles jsut before the ice cream!).
