What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P

Am staying in hotel near to Queens Station...... so quite central (I think).... just looking for inspiration so as not to end up sat in a wetherspoons all day!
Curry & Gallus sounds like a plan - cheers.....
I am a blue nose, I booked into Glasgow cos I thought we were at home, DOH! Lucky it is Hearts and not Aberdeen I s'pose.....
Phew, so the roads near mine won't be clogged up with traffic thenAm about a 10 minute walk from your ground! It's a pain when I hit the traffic wrong, I'll tell you
.
And if you're near Queen Street station, Merchant City will be closer, just head for diagonal opposite of George Square from the staion, down a street, take a left and keep wandering along until you hit a load of pubs on the right hand side. The Beer cafe is my favourite. And Blackfriars. There's also loads of places to eat in there too.Numpty_Monkey wrote: »I had a good time in Glasgow at the DFW meet about 2 years ago
I think we managed 3 laps of Glasgow city centre one way system before we got out:o:D
Man, if I'd had my proper LBM then, I could have been there. Only I went back into hiding and waited for common sense to prevail!
And I still get lost in those streets after 15 years (5 actually driving). I'm sure they change the names of them all the time to keep us on our toes!

Yikes, I think my wee flat might be about to take off. There's a mad wee* wind and rain storm just descended on my area of Glasgow!
* being optimistic - wee isn't normally the word to go with "wind and rain storm" in Glasgow. But the sun is shinig and if I squint out of the window the right way, there's some pale blue around.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
