    Hi everyone,

If you're new to being a DFW and feeling a bit overwhelmed, don't worry - we've all been there! We know what it's like! That's why we're all her to help you on your way.

Some-times though, as in all walks of lie there are a few who like to spoil the journey for evey-one. We can them trolls. Read Pania's message below - if you do have the misfortune to come across one, please try not to take it personally and pop over to us here and e'll do what we can to help.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Not sure how I'd fare on Come Dine with Me... Mish mash menu so far...

Bread and oil & balsamic vinegar
Vegetable Jalousie (veggies in puff pastry!)
Vegetable cake (using up the frozen sliced potatoes from last weeks disaster), basically a savoury cheese cake with potato base...
    Quinoa rice pilau with dill
    Side salad
White choc and ginger cheese cake
    Creme egg ice cream

Not sure it goes together... can you tell I flicked through my recipe books and went "ooh, I'll have some of that!"

Any tweaks and advice gratefully received :D.
Any willing cleaners also gratefully received :rotfl:.

I quite like the sound of that menu, and I'm not veggie. I assume the two cheesecake type things are going to be completely different as one is savoury, the other sweet. Other than that, sounds great:)
Cleaners.... hmmmm, can't think of anyone offhand:rotfl:

Considering I'm really not here, this is a virtual BUMP ....:rotfl:

    Back from shopping....

 I won't tell you how much I spent! Suffice to say I nearly blew my monthly budget in one fell swoop!:eek::eek:

I can see every-one getting miniscule portions. Just as long as they don't look in the freezer while they're here

    Bumpity bump...

Good afternoon all. Horace - make yourself one of my killer toddies, kills all known germs and soothes the tortured soul at the same time. You take a chunk of lemon, spoonful of honey, pinch of ginger, pinch of cayenne pepper, put it all in a big mug and add boiling water. Stir well, then slosh in a slug of whatever spirit takes your fancy. Should really add a bit of garlic as well, it's a natural antiseptic. Take as often as you like, or until you are seeing pink elephants.

Nic - good luck with the catering. You have a fair bit of starch in your main course (pastry, quinoa, potatoes) so could have a green salad and a tomato salad to balance it out.

Thank you Nargle. Have a fair few coming over so guessing not every-one will get (or want) a bit of everything... it would have been easier to go for curry or lasagne but I'm bored of them :D

There's always plenty of salad to go around though! (Unless I eat it all tonight!)

I havent coughed so much - not as bad as yesterday but I have ended up yakking on the phone a fair bit (harassed by the printers:mad:). I had a snooze in front of the telly which I have now switched off - that horrid programme on 5 was being advertised you know the one with Melinda Messenger and that stupid tart from The Apprentice (I cannot abide her nor the bloke on this silly programme).

Need to find something decent to watch and maybe have some soup for tea.
