Piggers oh no what's happened ?

Hi one and all, i have returned from the dusty dirty pit of my room.
My god my back is killing me and guess what its done !!! oh yes it is done! Ready for when i decided to decorate the damn thing .

    Master bedroom & landing - Thursday DONE:j:j:j
I swear if OH's touches it , well lets just say i'll get life.

Emptied the storage cupboard COMPLETELY, cleaned it.How much crap can two adults have i tell you. Most importantly how did i fit it all in there *shrugs shoulders*
Moved all the camping gear on top of the shoe cupboard
moved 90% of the tools, bags etc into the now cleaned and organised storage cupboard
removed all crap and dusted on top of wardrobe, drawers etc
    got more clothes for recycling
freecycled a tv - well posted it up

Now just need to put all the paperwork, pics etc into filing cabinet and walls.

Really pleased with myself, as it needed to be do but just never felt like i could do it. Went to have a sandwich and the bleeding cat ate it out of my hand so will attempt to eat another ine in a bit with a cuppa. My room looks so much bigger :o just shows how much carp was in there. Hopefully i will be able to keep on top of it all now.

    I AM here

been to the opticians and ordered another pair of glasses - I have a feeling that the prescription's changed (must check) so I will use my new ones for 'best', my old ones for reading-in-bed (keep them in the bedroom,) and shall discard the broken pair unless someone knows where they can be recycled (lenses ok it's a broken arm)
sorted finance for sofas out, bucked to see they are now priced at over a grand each (double what I bagged them at):D and picked up a few bits. Dropped sandals into cobblers for repair (they need some stitching) rather than buy a new pair.

had a slimming world salad just (couscous and veg stuff) this will be day 4. I must be slimmer for Budapest and my friends wedding, both August:D

Oh and 3 WM on line drying beautifully:T:D

OMG Julie London Cry Me a River has just started on radio 2

We are contracted for 1265 hours of directed time per year, unless on the leadership spine, when all bets are off. This is usually all used in parents evenings, meetings, and teaching time. It does not cover time for marking or preparation, except that we have 10% of timetabled time allocated to ppa (even the most efficient teacher will not achieve what they need to in ppa time). We always get bank holidays and otherwise our holidays are as determined by the LA as school holiday dates, less 5 training days (thanks Kenneth).
NASUWT website probably has more detail if you need it, terms and conditions governed by the "burgundy book" and "blue book".

Does that help? Custom is 39 weeks of the year, 13 weeks' holiday.

N.B. If considering messing with something as a governor, I would urge caution as teachers generally do way more that it appears on the surface, including presence in school in holidays/weekends, and if they stop, lots of things beneficial to kids may go t*ts up!

I would echo that - I'm part time but often turn up for more than my allotted staff meetings (I should attend 3 in 5, in practice I am almost always there, and lots of us run after school stuff sport activities too. Parents evenings- we have two in the week and my job share and I turn up for both - way over our directed time alloc!
Most F/T teachers tend to throw themselves into it during term term then have mad cleaning sessions etc in the hols. I almost NEVER go out in an evening if I am at work the next day! I get up at 6:30 and aim to be at school around 8am. I left. yesterday, around 6:30....and I wasn't marking!

Piggers huge hugs for Tabitha and her family - and hope things sort out re DD
