Nice that someone can be arsed to search for the information required, inwardly digest, put into action and then publish the results without just coming on here and starting a new thread.

Nice one, n1cn1c, that looks like a corking deal you got there :T

if you whack in some fake details for the credit card, i find you can suss out where the bidding goes without committing.

This can work if you want to find at what price you get the "You've won" .
(and you've not done the proper research).

However you still don't know which hotel as this is only revealed to you when the purchase is complete.

I'm a huge Priceline fan but use the US site for UK hotels too.
I find it's less confusing than keep switching sites and with the $ weak it seems to give me slightly better rates.
Using the historical data it's often possible to make a fairly reliable forecast of which hotel you'll get. This year out of 9 different bookings I've guessed right on 8 and the 9th I didn't care just wanted "something downtown" and was pleased to get the Raddisson.
In the last year I've saved hundreds of pounds in locations as diverse as Manchester and Salt Lake City. New York is particually good too. My best bargain ever was Hilton Times Square for $105 (cheapest rate $300)
Learning about free re-bid zones is the key to getting the best price-and patience when bids fail and you have to wait :)
I always try to remember to use the travelbarn link as it helps fund better bidding.

Hotels won this year: Crowne Plaza New York, Hilton Newark Airport (several times), Hyatt Cleveland ,Renaissance Cleveland. Manchester Marriott Airport, Manchester Victoria & Albert (Marriott), Salt Lake City Raddisson, Sheraton Safari Orlando

Hi there, Which part of the CC is fake?

I just tried a fake number and it says...

Please check the credit/debit card number that you entered.

Input the incorrect expiry date or a wrong security code (the three numbers on the reverse of the card).

This has been reported to no longer work.

    So don't try it!

Planning on taking out little girl on holiday in June (she'll be 6 months). If I et a room through Priceline, will I then need to contact the hotel directly to advise them about the baby or shoudl I not use priceline in this instance?
