ok, thanks:p

I've done the very same search on both UK and US PL site.
The UK site says upon my search: Suggested retail price for a 4 star hotel £312
the US site says Median retail price for a 4 star hotel in the area selected is $210. why so much difference?

Irrelevant, it's just marketing hype to get you to bid really high!

You have read the first post of this thread haven't you ;)

Read post#1 and #2 of this thread and come back if you don't understand :)

Just wanted to record my thanks to blindman for this fantastic guide :D

I've spent the last couple of days reading through and trying to get to grips with all the hints and tips, and have just made my first winning bid!

I went through priceline.co.uk as recommended here, and have just posted the details on Better Bidding. I realise that it's polite to go through their links, but I think I'm right in saying that we can't do that if using the UK site? Must read back again to see if there's a way that I can ensure they get credited, but for now, a huge thanks for all the info!

Yes, if you use the PL.co UK site you cannot go through the BB links

However you can donate via their Paypal site.
• Hi there,
Just wondered if anyone had any advise for bidding on hotels in New York. Any strategies that were successful? We're going for 10 days in April (6th-16th) next year.

The guide does say that I'm unlikely to win anything over 3-4 days so should I split up my holiday in an attempt to get a nice hotel for part of the holiday?

Thanks in advance.
