    Good afternoon

Happy Mothers Day to all us mums, even though I think its another way to get us to spend money, agree with everyone who says you should show someone you love them 365 days of the year. I have got an arrangement with DH that we dont buy each other Christmas presents or birthday presents, we buy both of us a present between us that we want (be it a new TV or washing machine) and we do nice things for each other all year.

Having said that, have just had a lovely phone call from DD (we live 200 miles apart), but when we meet up we have one hell of a celebration!

Nothing from DS, but hart - you have put it into perspective for me

Bitsy - Happy birthday, I am also the wrong side of 30 lol:bdaycake:

DH and DDs cooked lunch , roast pork, potatatoes and veg. DDs insist on doing the dishes so I am on here with a pot of tea while chocolate pudding is in the oven .
Am hoping to not have to eat much of it as I could do without the saturated fat, sugar etc. I am hoping to lose weight and get healthier too.

Happy Birthday to Bitsy Beans :bdaycake::bdaycake:

If it helps I am on the wrong side of 30, er 40 er 50 mumble;)

Welll, starting from the young 'uns up! DD phoned from her friend's. She's not at Uni this w/e, as her friend organised a big ceilidh. Unfortunately left handed friend broke her left wrist in the second dance, but was back from the hospital in time for the second set! Permanently plastered tomorrow (:Dno comment!).

DS delivered bunch of flowers from them both and also a card.

I have phoned my mum, who's being entertained for lunch by my brother and family and my MIL is coming here for tea. Seafood, salad, hot new potatoes and I have baked a cheesecake with a blackcurrant topping. She loves blackcurrants.

Been doing some sewing recently, trying to get summer wardrobe fixed up now rather than at the last minute. Cardis sorted, footwear sorted and have lots of linen trousers, just got to get on with the tops now.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks. I know I'm not getting here every day, quite often read a bit, but not spending as much time at the pooter as I was. This is a good sign, shows the SAD is receding.

    Evening all

Happy Birthday Bitsy - hope you have had a lovely day:bdaycake:

Been a busy day here today running around after a little puppy who is hyper one minute and fast asleep a couple of minutes later as he has worn himself out. We have called him Charlie but to be honest when he is looking over the top of his basket looking at us, he looks the double of Sweep from Sootie and Sweep lol:rotfl:

He slept all night without crying though and only had a little [STRIKE]wee[/STRIKE] mishap when we got up as he was so excited to see everyone and waited till we put him outside before he "got down to business" IYKWIM. Not bad for a puppy so young!:A

We were going to go out for a meal at lunchtime but decided not to, as we didn't want to leave him alone so soon, so DD's ended up cooking for us here - what a nice treat. Got some lovely flowers and a new cafetiere for Mothers Day so had a lovely fresh coffee afterwards.

House all tidy, washing done and now got a tuna quiche in the oven for packed lunches (thanks MSD)

Sorry haven't read thread properly but sure someone's DD is to be congratulated re exams, so well done! Hope everyone is feeling ok - if not sending lots of healing (((Hugs)))

    Have a good evening all
