:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Bitsy Beans, have a great day.
Happy Mothering Sunday to all the mums. And hugs to those who are sad for any reason today xx
DD is still in bed, I know she has got me something, but I have no idea what yet, I have got my mum a box of chocs and a card, which I will take up later on.
OH and I did not stop yesterday, we went and collected 4 lenghts of skirting for dd's room, he will fit that today, and fill the holes, so that the decorating can commence in there. We then went and collected all the rest of our garden equipment, which has been in storage, two trips in the van for that, nipped up to my mums as her TV was not working, had a look at it, but its completly broken, so came home and got our old one, took it back, then took little dog and mums dog for a walk through the woods, we got back at 6, and just sat down when we got a call from dd asking to be collected, and a ring on the door, which was my sister, phew we were shattered last night, had soup and crusty bread for tea.
Dinner today will be breast of lamb, roasties and veg, I will do it for this evening when dd gets back, she is off out with her dad for a while.
I am going to try and get in the garden for a while, and potter about, my BIL gave me a pot full of snowdrop bulbs, so I want to get them in, I also have a house plant which needs potting on.
I would also like to paint the few odd bits of woodwork in the kitchen, should only take me an hour, and that will be another room done :T
Just realised I have gone on a bit this morning :rotfl:
Have good days all xxx0 -
Morning everyone,
We've had showers for the last few days. DH & I took DS2 out to the airport today and then we went to the hardware shop & then onto grab a few groceries. Got home around 3.30pm. I've been de-cluttering in the house. I put it off when the weather was so hot but thought I"d make a start now. The yard is still a mess but the rain won't let up to work in it for long periods.
We have to go into town again tomorrow & then on Tuesday I'm meeting up with DSis. I hope she likes her present that I bought in Venice. My windows and screens are disgusting so hopefully when the weather clears I can tackle them. Tea was leftover Curried Meatballs & Rice & for dessert Mango & Cream slice. Hope everyone is having a happy Mothering Sunday. Ours isn't until May.
Bitsy Happy Birthday. :bdaycake:
Well I shall be off and have a shower and hit the sack.Hope you enjoy your Sunday. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Happy Mothers Day and a special Happy Birthday to Bitsy Beans:bdaycake:
JC gosh you've taken me back. I loved the Magic Faraway Tree, especially Silky and Moonface. I used to love those biscuits or sweets that got bigger and bigger in your mouth and then exploded with sherbet. I know I am rambling but I had forgotten all about it :rotfl:
So far this morning I have had a lovely necklace and homemade card from my son in Australia and a lovely phone call ( I suspect his GF made the card she is very crafty)
My youngest has bought me some new kitchen scales whcih is great. Not seen the middle one yet, a heavy night last night so prob get my card at around 2 ish :Dand DD was out at her friends last night so think she is cooking lunch when she returns, probably something around roast chicken.
Lazy day for me just pottering and enjoying my family. Not seeing my mum until Tuesday so will buy her something when the prices have gone down tomorrow:o I know but I hate the way they hike everything up!
Have a lovely peaceful day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Happy Birthday Bitsy:bdaycake:hope you have a fantabulous day
Was allowed a lay in this morning and woken by DH with a cooked breakfast in bed and a Red Rose.:)The kids have done me proud bless 'em they bought me Darina Allen's Balleymoe cookery book and some flowers ( I asked them not to buy Chocs cos Iam trying to lose a bit of weight.)
DH and kids have just gone to see MIL with her card and pressie (My Mum died 6 years ago ) so I might go and take some flowers to the cemetery.
I have been told I am not to do anything today and they will do it all - but I will cook dinner - Otherwise I will be climbing the walls bored witless.
Well I am off for a leisurely shower and then I will get the dinner ready.
I hope everyone has a lovely day x x x xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

DS1 &2 stayed at mates last night,so not seen them yet,but there is a bunch of flowers in the utility sink
No special plans, last year we all had a meal at the pub, including DS1s fiancee, now thats all off I don't want to do the same thing and make him sadI have got a pork joint so will bung that in the Remoska, and I am trying to lose some weight,so no-one is having pudding
DH has had a good tidy up in the kitchen,so spick and span,we are going in the garden in a bit to put some branches and ivy we cut down into the van,so DH can put them in a skip at work, our green bin is full and the council havn't restarted the collection after winter yet. We'll see if we can revive the lawn too-with a 10st dog stomping over it all winter its not looking too good :rotfl:
