Thanks for your replies, everyone.
With respect, Jojo, I haven't been hostile or reacted angrily to what anyone has had to say about my life and decisions. I was angry that my private messages were posted but I believe that is unerstandable. I have been nothing but polite and would not dream of being anthing else.Aiming to be debt free AND a qualified lawyer by 30!

OP - it may be useful to google battered wife syndrome.
It is the condition where you are so beaten and bullied that it is impossible to leave.0 -
I wouldnt post a PM unless I thought it would help other posters! Or if i thought it would show how the OP was being manipulated. or unless i thougth it was how the OP was manipulating us? I think there is something wrong in this post - I am not sure where or why - but the one thing I am sure of - the OP is manipulating it. it strikes me as wrong for many reasons - but i have to ask - is it the man who is at fault here? the OP is Peeing me off - her replys are off kilter - why is it we assume her male partner is the one at fault?
Tandraig what were you thinking? That whole thread of PMs needs to be taken down. It's absolutely not your place to make a decision on behalf of another poster to show their PMs. Cool your jets and take a step back. If people think it's ok to make public others' PMs it destroys the integrity of the forum. There are some very vulnerable people on here (and I'd say a woman trying to get out of an abusive relationship falls squarely into that category) and they need to be able to trust that PRIVATE messages remain that way.0 -

For anyone knows, it could identify OP, dangerous when in a controlling relationship.
Pink, I have a friend who was in a similar situation. She finally contacted Womens Aid and is now in a refuge with her own private facilities and is very happy.0 -
Although I don't expect the OP to return to this thread, or indeed to MSE, if she does I strongly urge her to contact email Abuse and PM the Board Guides asking for the whole thread to be deleted.
Often threads are deleted by MSE without any request for that action appearing in public, and sometimes leaving an OP wondering why their thread has been deleted. I would suggest that action for this thread is taken immediately by MSE......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
