just back from orlando....I would avoid Dollar in future. Service was very poor and when we got out of car at hotel realised the car had not been cleaned...inside or out!
have used alamo before with no problems.

Can anybody give me advice on good/reasonably (and ones to avoid) priced car hire firms that work out of Orland International a'port, I need to hire 2 "minivans" in the new year for a fortnight.

    Thanks

I have always found Airlinenetwork.co.uk to be the cheapest I can find. They use Dollar.

I have had cars from Dollar for a number of years now and only once did we get a bad car. I called Dollar after a few days and they arranged for me to take car to a local depot (based at a hotel on 192) and they swapped car straight away. Added bonus on that was replacement car had a full tank of fuel so we got 2 tanks of fuel included in price. At the moment a 7 seater van inclusive of all taxes, insurance, full tank of fuel and additional driver is £353 for 2 weeks in January 2006. Hope this helps. The only thing with Airlinenetwork is that you have to pay in full when booking but since you don't have too long to go now should be ok.

I've found Dollar excellent too. I had a minivan which developed an annoying rattle after a few days. They swopped no problem with a new full tank of petrol too at no extra cost.

Same here. Only time we've ever had a problem with one of their cars was the first time we went to Florida and something went wrong with the car (can't remember what it was now) but they swapped the car swiftly with no problem icon14.gif
Same old same old since 2008

Thanks for that. I was looking at them for a Florida flight and accommodation. Cheaper than TCD but flights with US Airways. Had a quick google and coming back dirty planes etc.

Well I've done it I've booked with the Airline-network flights and apartment, car hire to follow. The total cost was over £70 cheaper than TCD and includes a 7 seater car whereas TCD was a basic economy vehicle. We are flying with Virgin with free pre-booked seats and high baggage allowance etc. Originally flights on first search were with different Airline then I noticed there was an advanced search option so I specified Virgin Atlantic airline and the total cost was the same.

Virgin is far superior to TCD, better flight into MCO instead of Sanford.

Wonder if anyone can help with this one, our flights are with virgin but holiday through jestsave, Virgin are doing 4 park 14 day flextickets for £55 adult and £45 kids if you book with them but only direct. Does anyone know if any other company would pricematc these prices, have tried a few who say they offer best prices but they can't match them???
