Brilliant thanks again for that, we have already booked the holiday via Jetsave as they gave us each of the 3 kids at £199 each which we could not get anywhere else, plumped for this hotel as it had an award given to it and trip advisor had positive reviews, have contacted hotel to upgrade to a kid suite which should help.

    hi there,
Ok i'm looking to go to Disney in 2007 with OH and 2 kids girl of 6 and boy of 10

Girl is really small for her age so i'm worried about her not getting on certain rides, would it be best not to go to place like universal?

I've also never been so i've been avidly reading up on this (It's taken me ages to read this thread :D)

I think i'm going to book a villa and try and pay for the flights through airmiles, would this be a cheaper option

As you can tell i'm a disney virgin :o

My boy is 3 and a half and we took him in May this year. He was small for a lot of the rides (1m seems to be the minimum) but he loved Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Sea World. We did take him to Universal, he wanted to meet Spiderman. It was worth it just to see his face when he met his superhero. I've alwasy found that Travelcity are hard to beat on price. We are going again in December with 4 adults, 2 children, 2 cars (all insurance and taxes paid) and executive villa with pool heat + flying Sunshine First which means you sit in large seats at front of plane and this is costing £4000 for all of us so about £666 average. If we did not fly Sunshine First and chose economy instead we could have knocked £1800 off the price bringing it down to £366 each which for accommodation flights and car is very very good. Have been a few times for if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. :j

We want to go back next Feb.

Looked at TCD - went with them before. Does anyone know if Car hire is compulsory with their holidays. If not does the basic holiday price go up?

Anyone know of any other holiday providers that would be about same (ish) price to fly from Cardiff? I can't seem to find any.

The car hire is not compulsory but they add a surchage to the flight price if you do not take the car so virtually works out the same with or without a car.

Just found out today that FlyGlobespan are flying to Orlando from this summer and lots of the flights are £99 one way, wish I'd know that before I'd booked as would have saved us having to travel to Manchester see

  • Can anybody give me advice on good/reasonably (and ones to avoid) priced car hire firms that work out of Orland International a'port, I need to hire 2 "minivans" in the new year for a fortnight.

    Thanks

Avis may be one of your best bets, as they are reputable and I believe are on-site, as are Alamo/National.

Hertz are based off-site and it took us nearly half an hour to get there as the "courtesy" buses were quite lax.

US Carhire They use both dollar and Alamo who are now onsite at MCO.

Good prices, I used them last year and got a better car than we actually book.
  • Thanks to both of you for the info

http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/ is the cheapest I've found for a minivan. I've booked one for our upcoming trip in a fortnight. £155/week everything included.
